It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Walter! I like to greet people the old fashioned way, a tip of the nose, a meeting of the eyes, and a formal introduction of who I am. I've always kind of been an old-soul, at least that's what people tell me, with my wrinkled fur and gentle eyes. As an older gentleman I tend to have a bit more patience than these young whippersnapper pups. You'll find me waddling around quite slowly but my tail still wagging none the less! I have been known to snap when nervous, but I have come so far and I just need a little time and patience. Cause I just so want to be your big goofy friend! I have a soft and squishy face to go along with my squishy personality! I am great with my people and great with other dogs too. I am shy at the very first but am on the fast track to love! As a senior dog there's really only one thing I care about ... TREATS ... just kidding, it's being close to others. Bravo is my name, now that indicates two things- either, BRAVO!!! Great dog!! OR, Bravo that comes after Alpha and before Charlie. Phonetically speaking- it could be EITHER! I hail from the great city of Laredo, via the high kill pound they have. I did arrive at the rescue with my buddies Alpha and Charlie. Those two are LONG ago adopted, and I am STILL waiting! You know, it is ok because I need a very very special family and will wait for that family to come along... I am a nervous boy at first so will need a family who will give me time to get comfortable and play, I need a buddy to play with, a happy and outgoing, confident pup or dog. He has a solid, stocky build and a huge personality. His face will let you know all his moods, from being goofy and playful to snuggling and pouting when he doesn't get his way. He's great in the car, loves walks, playing in the water hose and goes to stores often for socialization. Because Bane is motivated by treats it makes training easier. Meet Cooper aka Toot Toot aka Toot Bagoot aka Tooter Cooper was basically born and raised in the shelter system so everything is new to him, he's still learning what stairs are and what the big moving screen that talks to him is. He also loves to look at the handsome dog in the mirror. Tooter has nothing but love to give. The best way to describe Toot toot is a bull in a China shop. Your personal space is his personal space. Your spot on the couch is his spot on the couch. Fancy decorations? Oh you mean those things in his way! Toot is completely potty trained and listens very well! He knows sit, and down and is good in a kennel. Cooper's FAVORITE thing is soft stuffed toys and will definitely make your home look like a winter wonderland with stuffing. He is still learning about those small stick things attached to human arms and that those are in fact part of the human and not part of the treat or toy, but Cooper is a smart boy! Toot has never met a stranger with 2 legs or 4 legs, but since Cooper is a puppy in an adult dogs body, people his size may not be the best choice for him. Cooper has a heart of gold and just wants to please people and give you all the kisses (and maybe nibble on your toes a little). Theodore is super sweet but a bit scared. He has done great on walks and hardly pulls at all. He gets excited about other dogs and although it can take a bit for him to warm up at first, Theodore loves to run with his four legged friends. Theodore would be happy in a home with another dog, large or small, or by himself where he can get all of the attention. He seems to do fine with cats and previously lived with a small dog. When this sweetheart gets happy, he will show his excitement with his whole body, and has mastered the art of wagging his tail without actually having a tail.
