Story
Jack is a sweetheart, very loving and loyal. I was supposed to be a foster but the dog rescue that connected me to him abandoned me after he was safely transferred to my home. He has been with me for a year and a half, but time is running out, as I never intended on keeping him permanently and I am moving out of the country soon. He does have a bit of reactivity and can use structured training. However, I have been able to socialize him with my other dogs, Sugar and Logan, so I know there is hope for him. I wish for him to find a home with a loving person who will give him everything.

Story
Re-Meet Mz. Mizzy! This gorgeous girl has had quite the journey. She first came to Zeus’ Rescues weighing only 33 pounds, heartworm positive, and worn down from having litter after litter of puppies. Today, she’s nearly 70 pounds of pure love, heartworm free, spayed, and healthy.Mizzy was recently returned from what was supposed to be her forever home—through no fault of her own. Along the way, someone dyed her snowy white coat hot pink, and unfortunately, it hasn’t come out. But trust us—her beauty shines through, and her heart is even brighter. She adores kids and people of all kinds. She does well with calm, smaller dogs but isn’t a fan of cats or large dogs. Honestly, Mizzy would love nothing more than to be your one and only, though she’ll share her space with the right little canine friend.Personality-wise, she’s a total gem. Ask her “Who’s a good girl?” and you’ll get a hilarious display—running in circles, tail wagging, and hopping up for head scratches. Though she has bursts of silliness, Mizzy is actually a calm soul who simply thrives on love and attention. She’s housebroken, kennel-trained, walks nicely on leash for short distances, and eats like a champ.Bonus: Mizzy is part of our $50 adoption special! She’s truly an absolute treasure. If you’re looking for an affectionate, gentle companion who will fill your home with joy, Mizzy is your girl.If interested, please complete the online application at www.zeusrescues.org. Thanks! Story
Meet Suzie – A Gentle Soul Ready to Cuddle Looking for a dog with a heart as big as her eyes? Suzie is a truly special girl whose calm, gentle spirit touches everyone she meets. She's dignified and affectionate, always choosing kindness — whether it's resting quietly by your side or offering a soft nuzzle just when you need it most. Suzie isn't one to demand the spotlight — she has a quiet grace about her, the kind that speaks volumes in a single look or wag of the tail. She's a cuddle buddy, a silent supporter, and an old soul. As a gentle, low-key lady, Suzie is good with all animals and children. She's also housetrained, and will likely adapt easily to a new home. But Suzie needs a little extra love right now. She's heartworm positive — a condition that’s usually treatable with time, patience, and care. Unfortunately, Suzie's case is very severe, and we're still not sure what her best options are. She also can't get spayed until she's treated. Suzie is an underdog in the truest sense, and she's looking for a family who sees the beauty in that. A family who isn’t afraid to root for the brave ones. The resilient ones. The ones who just need a chance. If you're the kind of person who believes that every dog deserves to be loved like they matter, then you might be the hero Suzie has been waiting for! Let her show you just how deeply a grateful heart can love. Consider adopting Suzie and be the reason her story turns around. New Orleans Bulldog Rescue (NOBR) will pay for all veterinary treatment for her heartworms, and future spaying. We will provide more detail surrounding her veterinary needs and care plans to those with serious interest in fostering or adopting her. If you're interested in either fostering or adopting, please apply here: https://www.neworleansbulldogs.com/application If you have questions, please use our contact form, here: https://www.neworleansbulldogs.com/contact

Story
Case #59680173. Aspen was born 2/15/25. Aspen is still just a young guy, not even a year old. He still has that puppy bounciness and just wants to be touching the person he's with. He's very affectionate, he just loves people! Aspen was found as a stray, we haven't had a chance to test him with other dogs yet since he was recently neutered but being that he's still so young we're confident he'll be excited to play with another dog as soon as he can. Come visit Aspen today, he will melt your heart! This dog has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and is current with shots according to its age. Adoption fee is $90.00 cash or check only.

** Please read to the end to learn how to adopt! Gus is an adorable and affectionate Boxer mix who is eager to find his forever home.  He has turned out to be THE best boy and is loved by everyone that meets him!   He is an intelligent dog who is good with other dogs and is loyal to those around him. This handsome boy has been fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and tested Negative for heartworms!!   He was about 62 pounds when rescued from the streets, and he is still thin.  We believe he is approximately 2 years old, maybe less.  He sometimes still urinates like a puppy and he's so curious about Everything... sneaks up on anything unfamiliar.  It's so cute to watch! Gus is house-trained and he knows 'sit.'  He takes treats very gently from your hand and will give you big kisses in return.  He's playful, but will happily chill with you on the couch, too ! He is good with other dogs and children.  He's an all-around great dog and has many years ahead to fill your life with love and fun!   If you're looking for a sweet and friendly dog,Gus is the one for you!    Please apply to Foster OR Adopt Gus by completing the online application you will find near his photos on our website,  www.BaytownHumaneSociety.org

Story
Meet Millie! This beautiful 1-year-old English Bulldog is bursting with puppy enthusiasm and bulldog goofiness. She loves playing with her people, soaking up all the pets, and keeping everyone laughing with her silly antics. Millie loves going on adventures and will make a great adventure buddy, but she also loves cuddles, tummy rubs, and napping in a beam of sunlight near her people. Mille gets along great with her foster siblings (a 3-year-old bulldog, a ten-year-old human, and even the family cat). She'll do great in a variety of households – as an only dog, with dog or cat siblings, or with older children (she may be a bit of a bowling ball for very small children). Her big, sweet, silly personality is sure to charm the hearts of all that meet her! Apply to adopt Millie: www.NewOrleansBulldogs.com/application.
