Story
Name: Simba Breed: American Bulldog/Catahoula/Great Dane mix Age: 6 months old on 9/9/25 Gender: Male Adult Weight Guess: 70+ pounds Adoption fee: $325 plus a $50 refundable deposit Am I good with: Children: Yes Cats: We can test upon request Dogs: Meet and Greet Required About Me: Hi, I'm ready to rule your heart! I'm a goofy, loveable pup with paws that promise I'll be a big, impressive sidekick when I grow up. I love to play, explore, and soak up all of the attention I can get, but I'm also still learning my puppy manners, potty training, and leash skills. With patience, love, and plenty of adventures, I'll be the loyal best friend you've been waiting for! I am currently located at the ARP. The Animal Rescue Project (www.animalrescueproject.org) is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws. All dogs are also microchipped. Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.

Story
We have an adorable PURE bred English Bulldog. His papers say Victorian bulldog, the vet says English bulldog. He is 100% pure bred and registered. We have all papers for him. He is also completely up to date on all vaccines and exams. He is the SWEETEST boy. He is also extremely loyal. We have another dog, and two young children that he is great with. He gets very excited when you call him a good boy or come home from being away. He loves to play and run outside. He also loves to lay and cuddle. He is crate trained and house trained. He knows how to shake, lay down, come, and go potty- he also has a potty button he is trained to push to go outside, but he also knows to ask as well. He is a STUD and would make great puppies. We unfortunately work too much to have a puppy and we cannot give him the attention he needs, which is the only reason we are selling him. He will come with some items. Will negotiate price. Do not need to neuter, he will make great puppies. NO SCAMS!

Story
Meet Bismarck Bismarck is a rambunctious boy that knows how to utilize those puppy dog eyes. He’s very smart and knows quite a few commands. He loves playing tug of war and playing with his humans, but the thing he loves the most is being spoiled. When he came to Mackenzie’s he had a skin infection and some allergies that caused him to lose a lot of hair on his back that hasn’t quite come back. Because of this some staff members got in the habit of tucking him in his doggy bed at night. So, he’s gotten accustomed to being pampered! Because of his rambunctiousness he would do better in a home without young children or cats. He is on medication and a special diet to control his allergies. His skin has improved drastically but unfortunately, he may never regrow all the hair on his back and rump. He would enjoy making a fashion statement with a cute little coat or sweater, especially in the winter months. To meet Bismarck, apply today! D.O.B 9/14/18 Meet-Your-Match Canine-ality color is: Green Go Getter!! For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/
