Story
Application link https://forms.gle/mtaWGXgjgBRLat1T7 My name is AJ. My mother was found in a barn after giving birth to the 12 of us on October 10th. Mama was so exhausted, weak and hungry and most of all scared. Her milk was not even enough for the 12 of us because she had been abandoned and left on her own while we were growing in her tummy, but we nursed anyway just thankful for her warmth and her repeated licking and snuggling to comfort us. The kind loving Huddleston family found us and contacted Greg King Canine Recovery Dog Rescue for help. Our mom got all the food she needed and even learned to start trusting humans again! I promise I will be the best girl that I can if you will let me live with you and I would love to have some toys by myself because I don't get to play with the few that we have very much, because Miss Lindy says we all have to share. We are now weaned, (Mom says she could not be happier about that) and eating all the puppy food our tummies can hold. All I need is my own person, because the 12 of us have to share 2 people and we have to stay at the farm by ourselves while they are at work. I get very lonesome. Date of Birth October 10, 2025 The adoption fee is $150, if you pick up at our Rescue in Texarkana Texas. If we transport the puppy, it’s $75 for transport which has to be paid upfront, but the adoption fee is not paid until you pick up the puppy at the location you select that’s on our transport route.. Only the $75 transport fee is due to secure transport from our rescue in Texarkana, Texas to one of the 7 locations on our transport route. The $100 adoption fee is not due until you pick him/her up on the transport date at the location you select on the "Transport Roster Form" You also have the option to designate someone else to pick up your pet as long as we know in advance. If you haven’t yet seen our Facebook Reels of past adoptions and transports, please do so. The mother dog was a pregnant stray that had her 12 babies in a barn that provided warmth and safety and then food and love once they were discovered. We started NeoPar vaccinations and dewormers at 5 weeks. Puppies receive 3 puppy shots before they are transported. We provide a folder for you to take to your veterinarian when you pick up your puppy with medical records/information. Dominant breed information is based on physical traits of parents and puppies. Mother dog looks like an Anatolian Shepherd/Kangal Shepherd, possibly Boxer mix and we believe that daddy is a Great Pyrenees. Greg King Canine Recovery dog rescue is located at 484 Farren Road in Texarkana, Texas 75503. Once a month, we transport all pre-adopted dogs and puppies to the following 7 cities because all of the shelters in our area are kill shelters, so we try to save all that we can by getting them adopted and transporting them to their new homes. Because it is a 1000 mile transport one way, we have to leave Texarkana, Texas the day before you are scheduled to pick up of your new dog or puppy. I will provide a live Google Map link in order that you may follow our travel progress to pick up at one of these seven locations on our transport route, or if I have to stay at the rescue to care for all of our rescues, I will give you frequent updates of the transport's travel progress. Poplar Bluff, Missouri Arnold, Missouri Springfield, Illinois Bloomington, Illinois Rockford, Illinois Joliet, Illinois Kalamazoo, Michigan Please contact me, Latrell King, at 903-280-4233 for adoption questions. Please send a text before calling and then leave a voicemail because I don’t usually have my phone with me when I’m taking care of the puppies, cleaning kennels, feeding, vaccinating, etc. Cell phones are not puppy proof. I will return your call or respond to your message ASAP. I will explain the process with the approval of your application.

Story
Fern Fern is a Female Boxer mix DOB: November of 2025 Adoption fee: $200 I know I look serious in my photo, but I really am just a wiggle butt! If you know Boxers, then you know about the wiggle butt and that’s what I have! I wiggle while I eat, and I wiggle with a toy in my mouth, I wiggle when I walk. (I do have a full tail). I am a little bashful and need a little confidence building. In a home with consistency in my routine and training, I should gain the confidence I need to be the best friend you’ve ever had. Pending observed interaction, I should do well with children 8 years and older. Pending a meet and greet, I may match with another dog. I have not been tested with a cat, but if properly introduced to cats, I adapt fine. I have not been on a leash at this time and would do my best with a physically fenced yard. I may require it pending your previous experience, location or other plans for containment. I am a very nice pup with lots of potential. I just need a family to help reach that potential.

Story
Button, our 1-year-old boxer mix, is jumping for joy in anticipation of his forever home! We joke that he is part kangaroo, but outside his kennel he’s the calmest little guy there is. He has such a gentle spirit, and that shines through when he takes treats. His favorite place to be is next to someone — truly the definition of man’s best friend. He enjoys walks and has the drive to learn more commands! He also lets us humans squish his face, but how could you not? After all, he is as cute as a button!

Story
Daisy is a pitbull boxer mix. She is 1 year old and full of energy! She gets a long great with other dogs but back at home her and our other dog do not see eye to eye. Our other dog is older and more laid back. Daisy would thrive in a home where she is with dogs with the same energy level or as an only pet.

Story
Hello my name is Wink. At just 8 months old, I’m a big, handsome 70 pound pup with an even bigger heart, searching for a forever home to call my own. My journey hasn’t been easy—I was surrendered to a crowded, high-risk shelter in San Antonio, Texas, for reasons I’ll never understand. The noise, the stress, the uncertainty… it was overwhelming. My time there was running out, and I needed someone to see me—to believe I was worth saving.Every day, I did my best to shine. I kept my kennel clean, wagged my tail nonstop, and greeted everyone with gentle affection, hoping they’d choose me. But no one did. Maybe it was my size, or my age, or my right eye. I have a condition called microphthalmia, which means my right eye is smaller and doesn’t see well—but it doesn’t slow me down or cause me pain, and the vet says it doesn’t need to be removed. The shelter called me Skunk, but my foster dad saw something different—he named me Wink, and it fits me perfectly.Just hours before I was set to be euthanized due to overcrowding, Project Hope Animal Rescue stepped in and saved my life. From there, I began a 1,200+ mile journey north, carried by kind-hearted volunteers who gave me a second chance. Now, I’m ready to start my next chapter.I’m a sweet, affectionate boy with the perfect balance of playful puppy energy and gentle companionship. I adore people and have a special way of leaning into you for pets—it’s like a full-body hug. I may be big, but I’m all soft on the inside and thrive on love, attention, and being part of the family.I’m still young and eager to learn. I’m very treat-motivated and want to make my people happy, which makes training fun and rewarding. I’ve already learned how to shake and I’m getting the hang of “sit.” I walk well on a leash and am excited to keep learning with someone who will guide me with patience and positivity.I’d do best in an active home where I have room to run, play, and grow—a fenced yard would be required. More than anything, I just want to be included in everyday life, whether that’s going on adventures, playing outside, or relaxing close to my favorite people. The basics:• Fully vetted• Potty trained• Dog & cat friendly• Working on crate trainingAll I need now is someone willing to take a chance on me—and in return, I’ll give you a lifetime of loyalty, love, and companionship.Wink is fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered & microchippedHis adoption fee is $300.If you have any questions or concerns about Wink,  please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Story
Hi! My name is Ryah and I am an adorable, attentive, happy, Boxer/Hound puppy that is 8 months old.  I would love an active home with a family that will take me on walks and hikes.  I should do well with another dog and I am good with kids.  I haven't ever met a cat, but if introduced properly I should be just fine.  I would love a fenced in yard where I could run and explore.  I have soulful eyes and a big heart and would like nothing more than a family of my very own. I entered training for 10 weeks and will be ready to come home with my new family on August 7th.  Submit your app today. I’m spayed and I’m UTD on all my vaccines, HW, FT, and have a microchip of my own.  RPSM recommends children 6 years and older.  I will require a fenced in yard, either physical or underground. If you are interested in adopting me, please go to www.rpsm.org to fill out an application. My adoption fee is $300.##2735680##

Story
Meet Olivia! Olivia is a playful, energetic girl with a huge love for toys and outdoor adventures. She’s happiest when she has something fun to do, whether that’s chasing after a ball, carrying toys around proudly, or bouncing around with her goofy personality on full display. Smart and full of life, Olivia thrives when she has both physical activity and engaging interaction with her people. This active girl already knows cues like sit and is continuing to work on impulse control around toys and excitement. Olivia absolutely loves interactive games and can get excited during playtime. She’s very toy motivated and will sometimes race toward you in anticipation of the next throw, occasionally getting a little ahead of herself in her excitement. She does best during fetch when another toy is used to smoothly trade and redirect her attention between throws. Tug, fetch, and chasing toys are some of her favorite things, and she loves people who are excited to play right alongside her. Once she’s had a chance to burn some energy, her sweeter side really comes through, and she enjoys attention and spending time with people she trusts. Olivia is looking for an experienced home that understands enthusiastic, high-energy dogs. She can get excited at the start of walks and may grab at the leash indoors while gearing up to head outside, though this behavior has improved a lot with familiar handlers and routine. Out on walks, Olivia is curious, alert, and wants to investigate everything around her, so she’ll need someone who can confidently handle her strength and excitement. Because Olivia is athletic and able to jump surprisingly high, she’ll need careful supervision outdoors and a secure setup for exercise and play. She can also be cautious around unfamiliar people during walks and may need time to feel comfortable in new situations. With consistency, structure, and plenty of outlets for her playful energy, Olivia has the potential to be an incredibly fun, loyal, and rewarding companion. Olivia at a Glance Age: 2.5 years old Personality: Energetic, playful, smart, goofy, affectionate Training: Knows sit and is working on impulse control around toys and excitement Favorite Activities: Fetch, tug, carrying toys, trail walks, playtime, and outdoor adventures ##2709577##

Story
Name: Kings of Leon Breed Guess: Pit Mix Age: 4 years old Gender: Neutered Male Weight: 60 pounds Children: 10+ Dogs: Yes, Meet and Greet Required Cats: Will test upon request Adoption fee: $250 Hi, I’m Kings of Leon! I’m a fun-loving, energetic pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Whether it’s exploring new trails, chasing after balls, or splashing around in the water, I’m always up for an adventure! Yep, you heard that right, I love to swim, and I’m also great for baths, which makes post-adventure clean-up a breeze. I already know my basic commands and love showing off my smarts (especially if treats are involved). I do still need to learn not to be as mouthy and jumpy with people. After a day of play and exploring, I’m more than happy to crash on the couch and soak up some quality cuddle time. I’d be a great match for an active family or someone who enjoys the outdoors as much as I do. I get along wonderfully with playful dogs of all sizes and would love a buddy to romp around with. I've been at the ARP since 3/16/25 and am currently at the shelter. The Animal Rescue Project (www.animalrescueproject.org) is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws. All dogs are also microchipped. Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.
