Bacon is a 1 to 2yr old neutered male American Bulldog/ Boxer mix. He weighs 66 lbs. We pulled Bacon from our local shelter after he was found playing with a little poodle. His owners never reclaimed him so we are going to find him his perfect forever home. Bacon is not only handsome but he is a big lovebug. He is a large and powerful dog that needs to work on some manners. He is very willing to learn especially if treats are involved. He has be very kind and gentle . He will need plenty of exercise for both his mind and body. He does seem house trained. He is working on kennel training and good manners. He is fine with other dogs and older children. He might be to much for real little children. We haven't cat tested him. He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is already neutered. The adoption fee is $250. Arlo and his litter mates were born in the Appalachia Mountains. They are American Bulldog mixes is our best guess. These pups are as sweet as sweet can be. They enjoy their play time in the yard and making friends in play group. They are actually heroes. They saved their mommas life as she was tied to a 50 pound log chain on the side of the mountain. Angel gave birth to 6 puppies. She had little to no food or water. She gave everything she had to keep her pups alive. She wouldn't have lasted much longer in the heat. The pups were about 4 weeks old when a couple of them followed another dog home down the mountain. The dog owner followed the pup back and found Angel and the rest of her pups. These pups are now healthy and wanting a family to call their own. They need a home with a fenced in yard; an invisible fence is not adequate. They are up to date on shots, rabies, neutered and microchipped. They have been started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $313 which includes a lifetime microchip registration fee of $13. ##1566589##

Everyone meet Jasper! Jasper came to us after his owner could no longer take care of him, to no fault of his own. He was very scared and confused about his new environment. But now he is starting to warm up and is a good boy. He is happiest when he is outside! He loves to go on walks or simply hang out in the back yard! Since it has taken him a bit to warm up to us, slow introductions and multiple meet and greets would be best. He is a good dog but may need a calmer environment with a more experienced family. He would do best in a home with older (15+) or no children. He does struggle with going back into his kennel here at the shelter, so we think he would do best with a home where he has free range of the house or at least a room that he can hang out in while you're away. **Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Ash’s story is one that tugs at every heartstring. This sweet Boxer mix was brought to FDHS as an injured stray, likely the victim of a car accident. When we first met him, his eyes were full of pain, but there was still a glimmer of hope. Shortly after being posted as a stray, Ash’s owner came forward, devastated. Life had taken a harsh turn, and after many tears, they made the heart-wrenching decision to surrender Ash so he could get the care he desperately needed.Ash was rushed to the vet, where we discovered he had a severely dislocated hip that required surgery. Without hesitation, we got him the help he needed, knowing that this sweet boy deserved every chance at recovery. Now, Ash is in the midst of healing and is beginning to take adoption applications to find his forever home. Despite everything he’s been through, Ash’s spirit hasn’t dimmed. He’s a younger dog who bonds deeply with his people, and all he wants is to be loved. Ash is gentle, sweet, and friendly with everyone he meets—dogs, cats, kids, you name it.
