Story
Meet Ella – Sweet, Spunky, and One-of-a-Kind Ella is a goofy, determined, and affectionate girl who’s full of personality and heart. She absolutely lives for her toys, loves splashing in water, and never turns down a tasty treat. One of her most endearing quirks? She does a joyful little happy dance around her favorite things — it’s pure magic to watch! While Ella has had a tough start in life, she’s never lost her spark. She came to us as a young pup after experiencing a medical emergency (a prolapse) that her former family couldn’t afford to treat. She was understandably shut down at first, but with time, love, and patience, her silly and playful nature began to shine. And once it did — we knew we had someone truly special on our hands. Ella is what we lovingly call neuro-diverse. She moves through the world in her own unique way, with some behaviors that may seem a little different — like circling or moving her head in figure eights, and having a shorter attention span than most dogs. While we don’t have a formal diagnosis, it’s clear that she experiences and responds to her environment differently. That’s not a flaw — it’s just part of who she is. She’s had some positive experiences with other dogs and may do well with the right calm, respectful canine companion. But what Ella needs most is a quiet, understanding home with adults (or older, gentle kids) who are patient, respectful of her boundaries, and ready to embrace her just as she is. Ella is bursting with love and zest for life — she just needs the right person or family to help her continue her journey. With the right match, she’ll be the most loyal walking buddy, couch cuddler, and source of daily smiles. If you're looking for a truly special companion who will fill your home with joy, call the Ranch and ask to meet Miss Ella today! Story
Meet Peterbuilt – A Big Softie with a Heart as Strong as His Name True to his name, Peterbuilt is strong, steady, and dependable—a gentle giant with a heart full of love. With his large frame and soulful eyes, he might look tough, but those who know him quickly learn he's a total sweetheart who lives for affection and connection. Peterbuilt loves attention. Whether he's pressing his head and body against the fence for some scritches or leaning in for snuggles, this boy thrives on human companionship. He's affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he’s near his people—especially if there are treats involved! His adorable head tilt and beaming smile will instantly win you over. While Peterbuilt has a calm, relaxed demeanor, he also has a playful side and enjoys mental stimulation. He already knows Sit, Shake, and Wait, and walks well on a leash with occasional reminders. He’s a quick learner and would thrive with continued training and one-on-one time with a confident, experienced handler. One of Peterbuilt’s absolute favorite things? Car rides. He lights up at the chance to hop in and go for a drive—whether it's a quick trip around town or a long road trip, he’s ready to be your co-pilot. If you travel often and are looking for a laid-back, devoted travel buddy, Peterbuilt may be the perfect match. Peterbuilt would do best in an adult-only home where he can enjoy a calm environment without the chaos of children. He is not a dog who enjoys roughhousing or wrestling with his humans—he prefers gentle affection and relaxing cuddle time. A Note on His Health: Peterbuilt was diagnosed with Cutaneous Hemangiosarcomas, a type of skin cancer. While we’re uncertain how the condition may progress, the initial tumors were removed successfully, and we haven’t seen any new growths since—an encouraging sign. He’s currently feeling good, and we’re hopeful he’ll continue to do well. He’s not letting it slow him down, and he still enjoys every day to the fullest. Ideal Home: Peterbuilt will thrive with a strong, confident handler who can meet his needs and provide him with patience and love. He’s looking for a home where he can relax, enjoy daily enrichment, and be cherished as the loyal companion he is. Call the Ranch today to learn more about Peterbuilt or to schedule a time to meet this incredible boy. His perfect road-trip partner—and forever home—might just be you. Story
Meet Mabel! There’s a quiet, gentle spirit behind those soft eyes—a sweet soul who’s been patiently waiting for a place to truly call home. Mabel may seem shy at first, but once she knows you’re safe, she opens her heart with the kind of love that fills a room. She’s a gentle cuddler who loves to give soft kisses and soak in every moment of warmth and kindness. Her foster family can’t help but fall in love with her quiet grace and tender affection. When she’s truly happy and comfortable, Mabel’s whole body wiggles with joy, and her beautiful smile lights up her face in a way that says, “Thank you for loving me.” Mabel’s story is bittersweet—she came to us in January 2023 after losing her previous owner. While her friends have all found their forever families, Mabel has waited patiently, hoping for someone who will see her gentle heart and offer her the love and security she so deeply deserves. She has had kind experiences with other dogs and might enjoy a calm canine companion, but just as much, she longs to be your devoted, quiet shadow—the one who stays close and loves fiercely, even in the simplest moments. Could you be the person to finally give Mabel the safe, loving home she’s been waiting for? Her heart is ready—are yours? Call the Ranch today to meet this special girl. Story
Meet Paco – The Playful Pup with a Heart of Gold Paco is a big, handsome softie with the kindest eyes and a heart full of love. Once you’ve earned his trust, he’ll lean in close for cuddles and give you the sweetest paw when he wants attention — or forgiveness (not that he ever really needs it)! This well-mannered gentleman is house-trained and already knows ‘Sit’, ‘Shake’, and ‘Down’. He may be getting up there in years, but don't let that fool you — Paco still loves to play! He’s got plenty of energy and is always up for a game or a goofy moment with his favorite people. His Story Paco came to us from a difficult situation. He once lived in a home where he was loved, but when a new boyfriend moved in, Paco was chained up in the backyard and left behind — no longer treated as part of the family. Despite that heartbreak, he’s held onto his loving, playful spirit and continues to show people how resilient and forgiving dogs can be. His Needs Now While Paco is fun-loving and social, he has a few needs to help him thrive in his next home: He experiences occasional mild seizures if he gets overheated or overly excited, but he recovers quickly and is soon back to his happy self He needs a securely fenced yard to safely stretch his legs and play A quiet space indoors where he can retreat during thunderstorms or fireworks, which make him nervous A family willing to offer him patience, love, and a second chance at a happy life Paco is looking for a long-term foster or forever family who can appreciate his loyal, affectionate nature and give him the home he’s always deserved. Call the Ranch today to meet Paco — your new best buddy is ready to play, snuggle, and love you endlessly. Story
Meet Rodeo! &#226&#152&#128&#239&#184&#143 Looking for a big, lovable goofball who’s full of heart and eager to connect? Meet Rodeo—one of our incredible deaf dogs, and truly a one-of-a-kind companion. Rodeo is an extra-large cuddle machine with a playful spirit and a huge love for his people. While he may not be able to hear, he communicates beautifully using hand signals and a vibrating collar. He already knows Heel, Stop, Sit, and Come, and he’s always ready to learn more with someone who’s patient, kind, and willing to meet him where he’s at. This sweet boy recently lived in a home with a 3-year-old child and two other dogs. His former adopters adored him and said he was absolutely amazing. Sadly, due to life circumstances, they had to return him—through no fault of his own. But Rodeo continues to shine with his resilient, affectionate nature. Since coming back to the Ranch, Rodeo has been reunited with his best friend Lydia, and together they are the ultimate feel-good duo. Lydia, a three-legged sweetheart, seems to share an unspoken bond with Rodeo—they just get each other. Whether it’s Lydia gently nudging Rodeo awake for playtime or the two simply hanging out side-by-side, their friendship is something truly special. While they don’t have to be adopted together, we’d love to see them go to a home as a pair. And let’s not forget Rodeo’s adorable quirks—he loves carrying around his special blanket wherever he goes, and one of his absolute favorite things in the world is napping in the sun. Just give him a warm patch of sunshine and his blanket, and he’s in heaven. &#226&#152&#128&#239&#184&#143 If you’re ready to welcome a loyal, affectionate, and completely unforgettable pup (or two!) into your life, Rodeo is waiting to meet you—with Lydia happily by his side. Call the Ranch today to set up a visit—you might just meet your perfect match. Story
Meet Pittie Paul! Handsome? &#226&#156&#133 Friendly? &#226&#156&#133 Full of personality? Oh yes. Pittie Paul is the total package — sweet, social, and so ready to find his forever home! With his striking coloring and lovable, goofy nature, Paul wins hearts wherever he goes. He adores people and soaks up affection like a sponge, often leaning in close just to make sure he doesn’t miss out on a single pet. He walks beautifully on leash and usually pays no mind to other dogs while out and about, making him a great walking partner. Currently in a foster home, Paul is brushing up on his basic training and house manners — and he’s doing great! He’s learning the ropes quickly and proving to be a very eager-to-please guy. Whether it's sitting politely, lounging on the couch, or mastering a new cue, he’s always up for learning something new (especially if treats are involved). He’s also quite the social pup! His best friend at the shelter was a young male named Enzo — the two of them were a blur of zoomies and playtime. Paul does well with canine companions and would thrive in a home with another friendly dog, or with people who are home often. He can get a bit anxious when left alone for long stretches, so having a buddy — human or dog — helps him feel secure. Paul’s ideal home would be moderately active — someone who enjoys walks, maybe a few hikes, but also loves a good lazy day with a snuggle buddy. Like most Staffies, he’s strong and stocky (a true “house hippo”), but he knows how to be gentle — especially with kids! He’ll patiently wait for them to come say hi and greet them with his sweet, calm charm. &#226&#156&#168 Loyal, loving, and learning new things every day — Pittie Paul is ready to be your new best friend.
