My wife has had Piper for 10 years; she was rescued as a puppy. I've been in her life for 8 of those. She has always been a great dog, energetic and loving. We have 3 kids, 4, 2 and 2. She has recently become more easily irritated and snapped at one of our toddlers for touching her hind leg. She had never done this before but came close to full on biting her face. It is probably older age, but she has less patience with the kids and doesn't want them around her or touching on her. We love her and hate to rehome her but have no option as her behavior is random and spontaneous. We obviously can't have her bite one of the kids and cause injury. She would make a great dog for anyone without small kids, she gets along with other animals well and she still loves to play and run outside at 10 years old. We want her in a good home and hope someone can take her in and give her a comfortable place to live out her life.
