Story
This sweet squish face is Julie. She is 4 years old and about 50 pounds. Julie has been described as an absolute delight in the house when it's just her and her people. She has never gotten into anything she's not supposed to. We can leave food on the coffee table and she won't go after it. She is definitely medium to low energy. She is an absolute cuddle bug, and mostly happy to snuggle with you on the couch all day long. She has small sprints of energy and loves toys, playing tug, sometimes chasing a squeaky ball. She does this very cute pouncing thing that is somewhere in between a dog and a cat, and it is absolutely adorable. She likes small spaces, she's prone to go under the couch or bed. She can be a little bit stubborn for sure. Julie has some anxiety that she is working on. She is startled very easily by any quick movement, loud noise, unexpected touch, etc... The vacuum is her mortal enemy, although she is getting much better at tolerating it. On leash, she is mostly well behaved, but has become reactive to dogs, cats, and small animals, which looks like pulling, barking, and sometimes lunging. She is a pretty strong girl. She can be redirected but it takes a bit of effort. She can be pretty anxious meeting new people, especially if they are in her space (her home). She needs a slow introduction to people and to be allowed to get comfortable on her terms and timetable. She is looking for a calm and quiet home without children or other animals. She would love a family that can see her insecurities and help her work on them. If you think you have the right home for Julie, please fill out an application. https://www.vermontenglishbulldogrescue.com/non-bulldog-application/

Story
What’s cuter than a pocket sized bulldog? A swimming pocket sized bulldog!! This little nugget has such a love for water— she learned all on her own!! She’s so courageous and adventurous for a tiny little thing— completely fearless! Little Petunia is a sassy, spunky little one. It can take a few minutes for her to warm up to you, but once she does she is full of cuddles! You will forever be greeted with a joyous trot and she will be requesting pets! Petunia loves people, kids and dogs. She communicates with her mouth by giving love nibbles, so you’ll want to be prepared for that. Petunia loves to play with other dogs and is full of energy! She will need a dog that can keep up with her. She’s so short and stubby that her play mainly consists of headbutts and ankle biting, but it’s all play. She plays hard, naps harder, then repeat. She is a guaranteed good time and will make you laugh on the daily. Plus, she’s so stinkin’ adorable— everyone will want to say hello! Ready to bring this cutie home?!? Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Story
** Currently in Everett, WA & ready for meet and greets!! ** Let me guess.. You sing in car. Loudly and definitely off-key. Did mention loud? Or you snore, or talk in your sleep, or like to practice your bagpipe playing. Well, that might make a lesser dog than I, Wally, have second thoughts about coming to live with you and love you, but not me!! That is because my heart is SO GINORMOUS and my potential for devotion is practically BOTTOMLESS! Tell me you're not frantically reading my bio and wondering "GOODNESS, how do I adopt this sweet guy RIGHT NOW?!" Calm down, off-key-singing person!! I have all the information you could possibly need or you could share me with your friends that could need me in their life!! I am the sweetest guy you will ever meet, I am known as a "gentle giant" by my foster mom and the team here at 3LP! I am the most aloof guy and get along with everyone I meet. I am very easygoing and can be content in every setting. I love to snooze away happily in the yard, sunbathing is one of my favorites. I also enjoy a nice comfy couch to get cozy on. If you have kids, that's great! I love kids and have gotten along great with a 6 and 3-year-old. If you have other dogs, yippee! I love to have friends to hang out with! Companionship is truly my favorite! If it's just you, that's great too! I love to lay my head on your whole body, I often think that I can be a lap dog. It really is just pure love. I am working on potty training, remember I was a street dog and this nice rescue brought me in. Now that I live in a home, I am learning the rules of a home. I have spent time in an unfenced yard and have great recall, I stay close by and know where my people are. C'mon, let's be a match made in heaven! I will be the perfect addition to any family! A very low energy level & is totally content being someone's life-long cuddle buddy. https://youtube.com/shorts/2zhJHWU6hWU?feature=share In the play yard Homer shows short bursts of energy and plays great with everyone before checking in with his people and just watching the rest from afar while he enjoys time with his humans. https://youtube.com/shorts/uQU5-r7ckBw?feature=share Plays excellent with smaller dogs as well.
