Hi there - I'm Tyson! I may look tough with my big Bulldog smile and squishable jowlies (go ahead, I know you want to smush them!), but underneath it all, I'm a total sweetheart! I came to the shelter as a stray a while back, and somehow, I've ended up being one of the "long-term residents." I don't really get it! I've got two different-colored eyes, a heart full of love, and a personality that's ready to make you laugh every single day! I'll admit, I don't always make the best first impression when I'm in my kennel. It's just a little overwhelming in there, and I get excited when people walk by! But once you take me outside, you'll see the real me - the goofy, playful, snuggle-loving Tyson who just wants to hang out, chase a ball, and get belly rubs! I get along well with respectful kiddos and mellow dog friends, and I'm happiest when I'm part of the action, whether that's a walk around the neighborhood, a movie night on the couch, or a good old-fashioned play session. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, one-of-a-kind companion, come meet me outside my kennel. I promise you'll fall in love! Meet Rex! Rex is a smart, affectionate pup who absolutely loves being around people. He’s not a fan of spending time alone in his kennel or room, he’d much rather be by your side, soaking up attention and pets. He’s also house-trained and will let you know when it’s time to go out… just don’t make him wait too long, or you might hear his impressive vocal range the care team jokingly calls it “Mariah Carey high notes”. Rex has a sensitive side and isn't too keen on loud noises like thunderstorms, engine sounds, or power tools. When something startles him, he may react by moving toward it, so he’ll do best in a calm, predictable environment. While he can be a little particular, like hesitating to go into his room, some gentle reassurance and praise usually do the trick. He’s highly treat-motivated and currently enjoys his lickimats and Beggin’ Strips. Sweet, quirky, and full of personality, Rex also has one of the best smiles around. He’s ready to bring joy (and maybe a few high notes) into your life!
