Story
🐾 Meet Forrest – Your Future Adventure Buddy & Snuggle Expert! 🐾 45 lbs of love. Forrest has traveled over 1,000 miles with his rescue buddies to find his forever family — and he’s hoping that might be you! This handsome 14-month-old bulldog/pug/mutt mix is already neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. He’s a sweet, lovable young guy with the perfect balance of playful energy and cuddly affection. Forest has been professionally groomed and his groomer says he has great manners and is 1000% bulldog, pug, short face mutt mix 😆 he was listed as black mouth curr mix but after looking at his teeth and jaw he’s a miracle mutt. ✨ Personality & Training • Walks beautifully on leash and stays close when off-leash • Learned the doggie door on day one! • Working on polite play — he’s learning not to nip his foster dog siblings and listens well to corrections • Knows how to sit, loves playing fetch, and enjoys tug-of-war • Super affectionate and loves to snuggle close to foster mom • Loves being outside, and will be a fun one to watch experience snow for the first time — he’s a southern boy after all! 👶 Good With Kids & Dogs Forrest is great with his foster’s 11-month-old granddaughter, though he does think her toys are pretty cool and loves giving her kisses. He enjoys the company of other dogs and is still learning proper play manners. 🏡 Home Life Forrest is being fostered in Galesville, WI in a peaceful rural setting. He has never tried to leave the yard and stays close to his people — this boy is loyal through and through. 🏁My adoption fee is $350 and you can see more about the rescue at https://lastpawrescue.org. Story
Atlas - Energetic, snuggly 8 month old looking for his soulmate   In his short life Atlas has been bounced around a lot. Recently, he has been learning a lot including confidence and trust in his humans. It took Atlas about a month to decompress at his current foster home so he will require patience, trust, and a lot of positive reinforcement. He has so much love to give we know it’ll be worth it! He's so eager to please his humans in the house and will need to be supervised, corrected (when necessary), and given positive reinforcement for him to be a successful dog. He response well to a confident human so an experienced owner is recommended for Atlas. Atlas will require a slow introduction to other dogs as he doesn't like them in his face right when they meet (As is common in many dogs). After 10-15 minutes, when he’s comfortable, he will initiate play.  Atlas does enjoy wrestling with his 3 foster fur siblings, however, it will take him a while to adjust to not only a new doggie friend, but also a new routine and new home environment.  He loves to chase, wrestle, and howl when he's ready to play. Atlas can get a little jealous when the other dogs try to snuggle with his foster mom, but he takes corrects well and backs off. He loves women and loves his current foster dad, but sometimes, he is fearful of other men. He has been going out in public stores and working on his confidence. He loves getting treats from new friends, so we highly encourage his new family to continue doing that for positive experiences.  Atlas has been working very hard on his manners with the resident kitty. It took him a few weeks to understand he can't play with the cat whenever he wants. He is allowing the kitty to walk around the house without trying to chase her. He will do best with a dog savy cat or a home without a kitty friend.  Atlas is also working hard on his manners! He sits and waits until the food bowl is on the ground. He is also learning sit and wait hand signals and knows lay down. He take treats nicely, but if he gets a little too excited, he knows "nice". Atlas has great recall. He is such a human pleaser that he doesn't like to go far from them. He LOVES fetch! He loved all the toys but loves playing fetch. He will bring the ball back and drop it without you needing to tell him.  crate trained but is a big fan of cuddling with his humans Potty trained but it’s common for dogs especially ones who have been bounced around to need an adjustment period so he may have initial accidents in a new home okay with kids who are calmer and let him come on his terms but with a dog that is more on the shy/scared side, he needs to build trust with everyone he meets so we recommend no kids under 8.  loves being told when hes a "good boy". If you’re interested in adopting Atlas, and are Pre-approved, please private message us, or APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!) **Atlas’s  $250 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccines to date, heartworm test, current vet check, and microchip. ##2302886##
