Story
Atlas - Energetic, snuggly 8 month old looking for his soulmate   In his short life Atlas has been bounced around a lot. Recently, he has been learning a lot including confidence and trust in his humans. It took Atlas about a month to decompress at his current foster home so he will require patience, trust, and a lot of positive reinforcement. He has so much love to give we know it’ll be worth it! He's so eager to please his humans in the house and will need to be supervised, corrected (when necessary), and given positive reinforcement for him to be a successful dog. He response well to a confident human so an experienced owner is recommended for Atlas. Atlas will require a slow introduction to other dogs as he doesn't like them in his face right when they meet (As is common in many dogs). After 10-15 minutes, when he’s comfortable, he will initiate play.  Atlas does enjoy wrestling with his 3 foster fur siblings, however, it will take him a while to adjust to not only a new doggie friend, but also a new routine and new home environment.  He loves to chase, wrestle, and howl when he's ready to play. Atlas can get a little jealous when the other dogs try to snuggle with his foster mom, but he takes corrects well and backs off. He loves women and loves his current foster dad, but sometimes, he is fearful of other men. He has been going out in public stores and working on his confidence. He loves getting treats from new friends, so we highly encourage his new family to continue doing that for positive experiences.  Atlas has been working very hard on his manners with the resident kitty. It took him a few weeks to understand he can't play with the cat whenever he wants. He is allowing the kitty to walk around the house without trying to chase her. He will do best with a dog savy cat or a home without a kitty friend.  Atlas is also working hard on his manners! He sits and waits until the food bowl is on the ground. He is also learning sit and wait hand signals and knows lay down. He take treats nicely, but if he gets a little too excited, he knows "nice". Atlas has great recall. He is such a human pleaser that he doesn't like to go far from them. He LOVES fetch! He loved all the toys but loves playing fetch. He will bring the ball back and drop it without you needing to tell him.  crate trained but is a big fan of cuddling with his humans Potty trained but it’s common for dogs especially ones who have been bounced around to need an adjustment period so he may have initial accidents in a new home okay with kids who are calmer and let him come on his terms but with a dog that is more on the shy/scared side, he needs to build trust with everyone he meets so we recommend no kids under 8.  loves being told when hes a "good boy". If you’re interested in adopting Atlas, and are Pre-approved, please private message us, or APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!) **Atlas’s  $250 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccines to date, heartworm test, current vet check, and microchip. ##2302886##

If you cancel or no show it’s non refundable. **Meet and greets for approved applicants must happen within 3 days or the closest weekend (for long travelers). It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Popsicle is the absolute best girl with a very wonderful personality. She does fine with all the foster dogs living in her current home. The only thing that she ask is that her crate can be her space in her space only. She has a very boxer style way of play so having a more mellow dog or someone that understands her type of play would be best. She was recently adopted into a home with a very giant, high energy dog, and it stressed her out. She’s such a happy girl so happy that she had to have her tail amputated due to a chronic happy tail situation so now she has a very cute little nub to solidify her boxer style!

These pups are in La Crosse, Wisconsin too!

Story
Meet Odie! Almost 7 months old | ~30 lbs | Terrier mix Odie has been patiently waiting in foster care for 4 months, and his time is running out If he isn’t adopted, he will need a new foster home after 4/16. This sweet, silly boy is more than ready to trade foster life for forever snuggles Odie is the perfect mix of cuddle bug + playful goofball. He lives for zoomies, bones, and playtime — but when the fun winds down, he’s happiest curled up right next to his people. He does well with other dogs, especially calmer ones, since he feeds off the energy around him. He’d also be totally content as your one-and-only pup, soaking up all the love. Cats are unknown. Because he can get a little extra excited, Odie would do best in a home with kids 12+ who understand his energy and boundaries. Odie has a great foundation already: Crate trained (sleeps through the night!) Walking nicely on leash Working hard on potty training He’s eager to keep learning and would really benefit from continued structure, positive training, and socialization. After spending time in a crowded shelter early on, he’s still catching up on some life experiences — but he’s trying so hard and just wants to please. During playtime, Odie can be a bit vocal — it’s all part of his goofy, expressive personality. He’s also learning that shoes are not toys (progress is being made ). After waiting so patiently, Odie truly deserves a home to call his own — or a foster to keep him safe while he waits. Adoption fee: $250Includes neuter, microchip, UTD vaccines, and current vet check. Message us if you’re preapproved or apply at newleashdogrescue.com ##2635291##
