Somewhere along the way, a Pomeranian and a Chihuahua got together and created this ridiculously adorable little creature. And we’re pretty sure they used extra fluff. Meet Miss Bunny! She’s a three-year-old, 7½-pound Pomchi with the softest fur, the sweetest personality, and absolutely no concept of personal space. Miss Bunny came to us with the same group as Morsel and the boys, along with another little girl named Flower. If you remember Disney’s Bambi, Flower is the skunk and Miss Bunny is Thumper’s sweetheart. We couldn’t resist the connection! The girls are not bonded and do not need to be adopted together. Miss Bunny absolutely LOVES being held and would happily let you carry her everywhere. If you put her down, be warned: she’s a certified trip hazard. She has an uncanny ability to appear directly beneath your next footstep. She’s less of a Velcro dog and more of a tiny, furry ankle bracelet with no regard for workplace safety. 😂 Miss Bunny loves people and gets along wonderfully with other small dogs. She’s playful and has plenty of energy without being a little lunatic. She’s affectionate, friendly, and so ridiculously soft that it’s hard to stop petting her. She can get a little barky in the car, but we’ve discovered her weakness: music! Turn on some tunes and she settles down. Apparently, she’s a pop fan. We’re still figuring out whether she’s more Taylor Swift or Lady Gaga. With her golden fur, fluffy tail, and sweet little face, she looks like she wandered straight out of an enchanted forest. Foxy is ready to trade the shelter for a calm home where he can truly shine. As a blind dog, he appreciates a quiet environment and patient introductions while he gets comfortable. Give him time, and you’ll discover what a wonderful little friend he is. All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Records are sent via email. Paper versions are available upon request. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile above. After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sunday and Monday and will not be processing any applications on those days. Please get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH! adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH! cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). An adoption counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. “My, what big teeth you have, Grandma!” Little Red Riding Hood looks a bit like a tiny werewolf who got distracted halfway through her transformation. But we’re pretty sure she’s the good character in this story. The wolf would have been much louder. This little Pomeranian is believed to be about 6 years old and weighs just 6 pounds. She was found as a stray, missing her fur from the waist down. We don’t know whether it will grow back, but she certainly knows how to wear a little outfit. Her red hoodie is especially appropriate. Red is a quiet little gem. She loves cuddles, enjoys being carried, and would make a lovely little sidekick. If your idea of a good day includes popping your tiny dog into a comfortable carrier and taking her along, she may be your girl. She seems comfortable in the car and does okay in a crate, too. She gets along with other little dogs, although she can occasionally offer a tiny growl if someone wants to share her spot on your lap. Apparently, sharing Grandma’s basket is one thing. Sharing her person is another. Give her a little space when she asks for it, and let everyone have their turn. She hasn’t been tested with cats or large dogs. We think gentle, responsible children could be fine, with supervision to keep this delicate little girl safe. At six pounds, our concern is more about someone accidentally hurting her than the other way around. Little Red doesn’t need a castle or a heroic rescue from a wolf. She’d be pretty happy with a soft place to land, a wardrobe that accommodates her current fur situation, and someone who likes their lap occupied.
