Story
A5735535 Dino is an 8-year-old, 12 lb brown and white male Chihuahua with a tender heart and soulful eyes. Surrendered by his owner on October 28, 2025, Dino is a senior boy who’s frightened and unsure in the shelter environment but just wants to be held and comforted. He’s tense and timid at first, but with patience and a gentle touch, he begins to relax and show his sweet, trusting nature. Dino is likely partially blind and has some hair loss on his neck that’s being treated. He’s received routine vaccinations and medication for skin and respiratory issues, and he’ll go home on a health waiver so his adopter can follow up with their vet for senior care. While he doesn’t like being on leash yet, he’s happiest being carried or cuddled. Dino gets along with other small dogs and simply needs a calm, loving home where he can decompress and feel safe. -8 years old, male, 12 lbs -Chihuahua (Short Hair), brown and white coat -Owner surrender on 10/28/2025 -Very scared in the shelter; needs time to decompress -Sweet senior who loves to be held and comforted -Likely partially blind; has mild hair loss (under treatment) -Tolerant of small dogs; non-reactive -Low to medium energy level -Housebroken; prefers calm handling -Adoptable with health waiver for senior care and vet follow-up -Gentle, loving companion looking for a quiet, patient home DINO’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/b0c For more information, contact volunteer Lor at lor@unitedhopeforanimals.org Photo Credit @ Look up this or other animals at Baldwin Park Animal Care Center https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/view-our-animals/ Use their unique ID NUMBER.
