Story
Meet Juliet! This 3-year-old Chihuahua blend weighs 11 lbs. Juliet is looking for a dog-savvy human who can provide her with love, stability, and, of course, lots of snuggles. General Behavior: Juliet, while timid at first, is a true snuggle bug once she has determined you to be her "person". She is wary of strangers and needs time to trust that you are a friend, not a foe. She can often be found happily sitting in her human's lap, watching the newest sitcom while getting those highly sought-after ear scratches. Likes & Dislikes: Juliet loves the outdoors! She enjoys chasing lizards in the backyard and going for walks. Juliet likes things to be calm and laid-back in her life. She is not a fan of big changes, frequent visitors, or visiting dogs as they give her anxiety. As long as Juliet has her person and snuggles, she is happy. Training: This adorable girl has been working hard on her training in her foster home. She has good leash-walking skills and is a polite passenger in the car. She is still working on her social skills and general basic manners. She will require a family that can commit to continuing the training she has started in her foster home. Medical: Juliet is a healthy gal! She does take daily medication to manage her general anxiety. The cost of this is approximately $8 per month. Aside from this, she requires her monthly heartworm and flea preventative, like any other pooch. Other Animals: Juliet will require a home with no other animals. She prefers to have her humans to herself. Children: A home with no children is required for Juliet. Home: A single-family home or dog-friendly apartment living would be just fine for this beautiful pup! She requires a calm and laid-back home without frequent visitors and a dog-savvy, snuggle-loving human. Grooming: As a short-haired pup, Juliet does not require any frequent trips to the groomer. She just needs her regular baths and nail trims. Overall: Juliet is sure to thrive in a calm and loving home with a human who loves her just as much as she loves them! Are you the one for Juliet? Visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with her foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and heartworm negative. Her adoption donation is $300. ##1938332##

Story
Meet Oreo! This 5 year-old Chihuahua-Terrier blend weighs 11 pounds and she's just as sweet as her name. She's a perfect little lady looking to make her way into her forever home. General Behavior: Oreo is very sweet but a little timid. Once she warms up to you, she’s affectionate and loves pets and attention. She is perfectly behaved in the home and she does well on car rides too.  Likes and Dislikes: Oreo loves sweet talk, gentle pets and kisses. She really enjoys prancing through the yard, sunbathing and chasing lizards is one of her all-time-favorite pastimes. She absolutely loves snuggle time and will nuzzle her precious little head under your chin and burrow in your hair - her foster mom says she's never had a dog snuggle quite like sweet Oreo. Training: Oreo is good on a leash and she's housetrained. She has great manners and can be left alone with free reign in the home - she won't get into things and she won't have any accidents while you're away. Oreo knows "sit" and looks forward to showing off her good manners when she comes in from her potty breaks while she patiently waits for her treat.   Medical: Oreo is a happy, healthy girl. She simply requires a quality diet (she loves steamed veggies added to her food), regular veterinary care and her monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Other Animals: Oreo is great with other dogs. She's in foster care with both big and small dogs and does just fine with all of them. Oreo is a pretty laid back girl so respectful, calm dogs are more Oreo's style. Although she does enjoy gentle play sessions on occassion too. She hasn't been in a home with cats, but given her overall sweet and calm demeanor, we suspect she'd be just fine with feline friends too. Oreo seems to settle-in and find comfort with the company of another friendly, furry pal so a home with another gentle pup like her is preferred. Children: Oreo is very mild-mannered and gentle, she truly doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Given her calm nature, an adult home or a home with older, respectful children would be preferable. Home: Oreo would do best in a single-family home with a fenced yard for supervised sunbathing and space for her favorite activity, lizard chasing. She isn't an excessive barker, but she does bark at visitors and when deliveries come to the door. Apartment or condo living wouldn't be ideal; for a little girl she has quite a bark! Oreo must have a loving lap to snuggle in, once she feels safe and comfortable, she absolutely loves her snuggle time. She also loves to sleep in bed with her human so sharing your bed is a must. She will curl up in her blanket and stay put all night long - she's a great sleeping buddy, although she does have an adorable snore (which her foster parents find endearing).  Grooming: Oreo has a short coat and she does not require elaborate grooming. Regular baths and nail trims and she's good to go.  Overall: Oreo would love another laid back pal to spend time with at home and she'd really love an adult home with easy livin', outdoor time with sunshine and lizards, and plenty of snuggle time.  If Oreo sounds like the perfect little lady you've been waiting for, please visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. Once approved, you’ll be put in contact with her foster family if it’s a match. Oreo is up-to-date on her vaccines, she's heartworm negative, microchipped, spayed and just had her dental cleaning. Her adoption donation is $375. ##1972828##
