Story
Jackson is so soft you will not believe.  We are not 100% sure what he is a mix of but he sure is cute.  He is about 12 lbs and about 5 yrs old.  He is good with other dogs and ignores the cat in his foster home.  He came form an overcrowded shelter where he was surrendered because owners where moving.  He was very nervous at the shelter and behind the kennel door but once out and about he is a happy boy.  He has such lovely spots!  We think he will be fine with kids.  He is housetrained and pee pad trained.  Jackson loves being outside.  He would be a great garden buddy.  Jackson also likes walks and is good on the leash.  Jackson loves hanging with his peeps, just an all around sweet dog.  He does take a longer to warm up to men but he does.   To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $250 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.May 1, 2024, 12:53 pm

Story
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Skeeter is a one-year-old femaleChihuahua who loves to play with all the resident dogs and toys. In fact, she will coax you to play even if you’re not all that interested. She is still working on potty training and what is appropriate for dogs to chew on (after all she is a puppy)! A resident dog or two is a must! She goes in her kennel when she sees us getting ready to go out. She does prefer to cuddle in foster Moms’ arms at night. Skeeter is very timid around new people and it will take time to warm up but the wait will be worth it. Sophia "Skeeter" is a young female Chihuahua mix that found herself in Animal Control. When her family didn't come to claim her, she entered rescue and the welcoming arms of her foster family. Skeeter is shy of strangers and new environments but once you earn her trust, she is a total love-bug. Skeeter will need a patient adult-only family who will allow her to progress at her own pace, and a securely fenced yard (flight risk) with a resident canine companion. The suggested adoption donation for Skeeter is a minimum of $400 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information

Story
Merry is a mix of Chihuahua and Min Pin, born December, 2021.  She came to Bullies 'n Beyond along with her seven puppies.  Merry is currently settling into her foster home, and more information about her will be available after we get to know her better.  Adoption applications are currently being accepted, but she can't go to her new home until her puppies no longer need her. The suggested adoption fee for Merry is $365. Bullies-N-Beyond Rescue is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption donation fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR will have been administered their age appropriate vaccines which may include DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already altered if of age, for those not of age, a voucher will be provided. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. All available dogs are adopted based on their needs to provide the best fit home. ##1897158##
