Story
We got Rocco from the Humane Society about two and a half years ago. Rocco is a little over 3 years old. He is housebroken. He loves to play fetch, keep away, and tug of war. For Rocco, ball is life. He learns new commands quickly and is eager to please. Rehoming Rocco is heartbreaking, he is a wonderful boy! He is super sweet with people and a great dog, but needs to be rehomed because he keeps attacking our other dog. Rocco needs to be the only animal in the house, he is aggressive toward dogs and will kill small animals. He has never attacked a person, but I suggest a home with no small children. He really loves kids, but he does guard resources and they may not notice his body language indicating that he is uncomfortable with something they are doing. Rocco does have food aggression and doesn’t like people near his food while he eats. Hand feeding him has helped me establish a strong relationship that allows me to pet him while he eats. A private area for feeding would be best.

Story
Meet our handsome man Peele! Peele and his brother were found as strays not long ago, we highly suspect that they were dumped based on other information we received about them and their situation. They came in in such poor condition that we knew we had to bring them in to the vet before their stray hold was up. They ended up having flea bite dermatitis and some pretty infected and irritated skin, not a horrible issue, but very uncomfortable. On top of that, the skin on the rest of their bodies was very inflamed and tender to the touch. These poor boys needed some TLC, but now they are happy and healing and ready to find their forever homes! Peele is good with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats. He is doing great with potty training and is also taking well to basic obedience! He is a great boy, don't let him pass you by! Peele is up to date on his vaccinations and is neutered. If you are interested in Peele, please submit an adoption application, which can be found on our website: humanesocietyofnwia.com.

rAwr!!! Wait, I'm sorry. I meant woof. My name is Tiger and I have stripes to match. I am searching for a PAW-some home that best fits me. I've got some untamed puppy energy that I would love to express in a big yard. I would love to learn new things, I've got the potential to become an amazing canine citizen. I just need someone that has the time and the patience. I am good with older kiddos. If you have a dog please bring them down for an introduction before taking me home. I love to play soccer, it is one of my favorite games to play! I think car rides are great! Stop down and check me out today! $135.00 Fee includes initial vaccines, worming, microchip with registration, and free vet health exam.Sponsor A Pet Program - Part of the adoption fee has been paid by David Barraza ($5.00), Tanner and Westyn Zimmerman ($50.00) and Cassandra Thompson ($75.00).
