Meet our sweet, special boy Eddie. Eddie has been through the ringer let us tell you! Eddie came to us paralyzed after being hit by a car. Our team worked their wonders and had a fantastic foster step up to help him with his care. Now he can walk and run, just has a little wobble to his walk. Eddie loves other dogs and requires a home with one. He has a slightly enlarged heart and will be a special needs boy for life, however long that life may be. He loves people and going on walkies! Cats are a hard bargain with him. Some don`t bother him and some he likes to chase after. He absolutely adores kids! Gabriel 1.5yr M. $200 plus tax, 60lbs. Limited vision if any. Very sweet boy, just goes full speed ahead. Loves snacks and toys. Big mooch giver. New to the shelter, unk with kids/cats/dogs. Walks well on leash. We do our very best in providing truthful information about our adoptable dogs. If you do not see information about one of our dogs’ personalities, it is because we do not know much about them yet. We do appreciate a dog meet and greet to see if the dogs are compatible, an appointment is helpful but not required. We can complete a cat introduction at the shelter in a safe manner to get a sense of the dog’s behavior towards cats. With that knowledge, we will provide a blanket statement that you are ultimately responsible for keeping your cat safe. We recommend crate training for all our dogs while they adjust to a new home environment. Please bring along your family to meet the dog you’re looking at to see that it is a good fit. Also bring landlord permission for adopting a dog which includes any breed or weight restrictions.

Welcome to the world of Zeenie. I recently came into rescue and as with most new dogs to rescue I shut down. I didn’t eat, I just laid in my bed. But I am young and adjusted quickly. In a couple of days I started playing with my foster mom's husky, a couple more days I finally decided I would eat my food, not just take a couple bites. Now that I am comfortable I play with her dogs and we run and run in our yard. My original owner let me sleep in her bed so that is where I am comfortable. My foster mom is trying to get me to sleep in a dog bed at night but I am not doing it. When she is gone I do go in a kennel and don’t mind it. Oh and I learned how to use the doggy door pretty quickly. Now I run in and out like it is a revolving door! There is so much to see outside but yet I want to be in the house near my humans. I know some commands like sit and off. We are working on others. Well for only a week in rescue I feel I am doing pretty good. I sure hope to find myself my own family real soon.
