Buddy is a four year old, 70lbs pit mix. We just passed his two yearanniversary with us. He was originally found as a stray, and his finder saidhe would have loved to have kept Buddy ... but he and the existing dogdidn't get along. So, he brought Buddy into the shelter. When we hadposted Buddy on social media, Buddy's original owner came forward. Theyshared a video of Buddy playing with a young child- blowing bubbles andpopping them ... but sadly his original owner never came for him.Buddy IS an intensely powerful, and dominant dog. He has never shown any aggression towards people- however he can be disrespectful in the sense of invading your space, jumping on you,refusing verbal correction. Abby was brought to the shelter originally in 2019 from a home where she was too rough with children. She had lived with them for a year. She was adopted shortly after, but returned to the shelter when her behavior started to get out of hand and her owners felt like they could not handle her. She really seems to prefer women and acts aggressively towards men trying to handle her. She would NOT be good in a household with children as she tends to resource guard. She is picky about grooming as well, and does not like her nails/paws handled. She will need a special person with big dog experience to take her home, as she will not fit in with other pets in the home. **Special Needs** ~Deaf/Cerebellum lesion~ Miss Rose is quite the looker and very sweet. When we got Rose a year ago, the vet said they thought she had a possible cerebellum (attached to the brain stem) lesion. Due to this Rose has a head tilt and used to be really off balance and circle all the time. In the year that she’s been with us, her balance and circling have greatly improved. She does still bob her head when she walks and at times will spin circles when she gets excited. Rose does great with other dogs, she’s house broke And kennel trained and good with kids. She would do best in a home without cats! This amazing girl would love nothing more then to found a home of her own. Adoption Fee: $150.00
