Story
Myrtel is a special girl with a story of resilience. When she first came to us, all she knew was life on the streets, fending for herself. She was shut down, didn’t want anything to do with people, and couldn’t walk on a leash. But with time, care, patience, and becoming the office dog, her true personality began to shine. Now, she’s the best girl on the leash, loving to play, run around, and vocalize. Myrtel has the sweetest, softest eyes you’ll ever see. She’s crate trained and learning potty training & doing GREAT. While new people can still be scary for her, and she’s a bit hesitant about being touched near her head, she absolutely loves some butt scratches. She’s done well around kids and gets along with most dogs, though she can be a bit much sometimes. We don’t recommend her in homes with cats, as she tends to be too focused on them. Myrtel is a wonderful girl ready for a patient and loving home to help her continue to grow.December 2, 2025, 2:35 pm

Time to roll the dice and take a chance of getting a lucky 7 with Dice. It’s kind of ironic as she currently is 7-years-old and weighs around 86 pounds. She can be a bit timid at first sight, but once you take the time to get to know her, she could warm up with time. There is still much more to discover about her. All it takes is for you to come meet and win the jackpot of an 86 pound love of a pup.Dice’s adoption fee is paid by Nina Otero Community School, and a Special Thanks to Mrs. Vigil class forth grade class! This is Deeply appreciated from all of us at the shelter!He is neutured and microchipped and has age-appropriate vaccinations. A licensing/microchip fee may apply.
