Story
I'm a pitty mix that is very friendly! I love both smaller and larger dogs, and don't seem to mind cats. I am shy at first since I have been here since a puppy, but once you spend time with me I want to give you hugs and kisses. I am nervous of men because I haven't been around many, you would need to come and visit me a few times before I feel comfortable. I definitely want to be a lap dog and sleep with you.

Story
Perdita is a 4-5 month old female (likely) Pitbull terrier mix who came to us with her brother after they were both found as strays who were never claimed. She is still rather young and new to all basic training. In foster, she is working on housebreaking, crate training and basic puppy obedience. Perdita is still young, but she is doing well with other dogs, cats and dog educated children. Though she lives with felines in her foster home, she often wants to push the limits and play hard with them. As long as her forever home keeps on top of her behavior and she doesn't get away with being overwhelming, we believe she would still do well in any home. Please understand that she is still a puppy, so socialization, housebreaking and basic obedience will need to be continued in her new forever home - board members will be available for any advice as needed. To meet Perdita, please FIRST apply on our website for approval: https://www.theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form-pdf.htmlPerdita's adoption fee is $350, which includes her deworming, spay at our vet (when of age), vaccines (which include DHLPPC, Lyme, Bordetella & Rabies) and microchip with lifetime registration. If you are out of area and the pup is too young to be spayed at time of adoption, adoption fee will be less, and you will be contracted to complete vetting with proof being provided to the rescue.*Note: please DO NOT apply if you are unsure about adopting a puppy. Yes, they are adorable and fun, but they also require a lot of work and full commitment by all family members. Thank you!***100% of adoption fees go back to the animals and help provide for medical care for our rescues that need specialized medical care and surgeries. Please remember that we are a board of entirely volunteers that have full time jobs as well as our rescue passion.
