Mishka is a sweet, intelligent, and incredibly lovable girl who has blossomed so much as she has settled into foster care. Once she feels safe with someone, she is a total love bug who loves cuddles, belly rubs, and being close to her people. She has a wonderfully goofy side, too, with backyard zoomies that involve running, hopping, and the occasional barrel roll. Mishka is medium-high energy and loves getting out for multiple walks, exploring the neighbourhood, and playing in the backyard. She can also be surprisingly chill and is happy to settle while her people work.Mishka is a smart girl who is eager to learn and has already made great progress with her training. She is house trained, loves her crate, and can comfortably be left home alone for a full workday. She knows sit and wait and is working on down and impulse control during play. She is doing especially well on leash and is a wonderful loose-leash walker in her neighbourhood, staying engaged with her person and enjoying plenty of time to sniff and explore. She is generally calm and neutral when passing other dogs and has shown very little interest in small animals. She may do well living with another dog around her size or larger, provided they have a compatible energy level and appropriate introductions.Mishka is still learning about the world and needs a little time to feel comfortable with new people and situations. She is particularly nervous around men and can be wary if someone approaches her directly or enters her space too quickly, but she has made huge progress with the men in her foster home and is increasingly choosing to interact with them on her own. She can also be cautious in unfamiliar environments or when she feels confined, so a patient adopter who allows her to explore at her own pace will be important. A quieter neighbourhood would be ideal, although she has spent time downtown and could potentially adapt to a busier environment with time. Mishka is such a special girl—loyal, affectionate, clever, and just the right amount of goofy—and watching her confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding. Once she knows you're one of her people, she has so much love to give.Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Mishka? Apply Now!https://newcollar.co/apply-to-adopt

This lovable girl is a goofy, affectionate cuddle bug with a big personality. Once she gets to know you, her silly and playful side really comes out, and tug is hands down her favourite game. She loves being close to her people and will happily spend her downtime curled up on the couch with you. She’s also a big fan of sniffing and taking her sweet time when she finds the perfect potty spot. Phoenix may be small and sweet, but she has plenty of passion and personality packed into one adorable package!Phoenix is a playful girl with a strong drive. She absolutely loves playing with the dogs in her home and would happily spend all day doing it if given the chance. She also gives playful cues to dogs on walks and generally wants to make friends, although she can react when another dog is rude or gets too close. She is generally good on leash and learns quickly, and her foster family has been focusing on building structure into play and strengthening her skills outside. She’s great in the car, settles quickly, and could likely handle a busy environment well - she’s comfortable walking on busier streets and hasn’t had issues with hallway noises or elevators. She watches small animals closely and may track them, but she doesn’t pull or chase.Phoenix can be timid and hesitant with new people and may take some time to warm up, particularly with men. Once she trusts you, however, she is incredibly loving and devoted. She has welcomed several guests into the home without issue when introductions are handled thoughtfully. She has also done very well with dogs and has had very few issues while with her experienced foster. Phoenix has occasionally barked and lunged when she feels threatened or pressured, and she has previously struggled with men in the home and guarding her space when uncomfortable. She is very responsive to correction and typically settles quickly, but her future family should have dog experience and be committed to continuing her training, confidence-building, and providing appropriate outlets for her strong drive. She is also still working on her house training and can have accidents in her crate, although she has no separation anxiety and can comfortably settle on her own for several hours. If you’re looking for a sweet, passionate, playful girl who will absolutely devote herself to her people once she knows she’s safe, Phoenix may be your perfect match!Phoenix will also have free training for life with Honey K9 who is currently fostering her!Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Phoenix? Story
Meet Pita! 4 year old Pita is a happy, affectionate girl who loves being part of the action! She does wonderfully in all kinds of situations and is always ready for an adventure. She travels beautifully in the car and has no problem visiting busy public places. Pita loves people, activity, and FOOD! She is very food-motivated and will happily follow her nose if something smells delicious. She is wonderful with children of all ages, but she gets so excited that she does not always remember to keep all four paws on the floor and her kisses come with enthusiasm! Because of this, she should be supervised around very young children. On leash, Pita does well but needs occasional reminders to stay close. She is also comfortable in her crate. Pita can be nervous when first greeting other dogs and doesn’t appreciate dogs getting loud or too much in her face. She may challenge them back, but with proper introductions, she does well with other dogs. She loves to play and would be fine with dog-savvy cats who don’t mind telling her when enough is enough! A home with a securely fenced backyard would be ideal for Pita, giving her plenty of space to enjoy her love of activity and play. Because Pita can be vocal, an apartment or condo would not be suitable for her. Pita is a loving, joyful girl looking for a family who will enjoy her enthusiasm, continue her training, and appreciate her big personality.
