Story
Tito is a puppy we are fostering because he was found skin and bone on the side of the road . Hes great and so loving . Hes thriving very well and is very happy with play mates . He stays by your side and wont run off as far as it coming to me and my family he stays put no matter what distractions are there. Im wanting him to go to a good home and someone who can take the time to train, love, and exercise him on the daily ! Im asking for a rehoming fee because it will have paid for the vet visits and papers that will be included with everything needed for this pup ! Tito has gone to the vet and has been confirmed at the age of 5 months old !

Story
This is Jack. Jack is a very loveable dog who came into the shelter as a stray. He is great on a leash, enjoys walks, and is clean in his kennel. He enjoys hugs and getting loved on. His ideal home would be somewhere he can sit on a couch like a potato for the rest of his days. We have not tested him with kids, but he has been super lovable with staff. He is very laid back and as his picture looks he always will greet you with a smile.Long walks or fenced in back yard is always the best environment for dogs, but exercise is the main goal. We can test our dogs with other dogs at the shelter, but not every dog may get along with your dog this is why if you do have a pet at home we strongly suggest meet and greets before adopting. When adopting an animal at the shelter please know the responsibility of an animal. Most of the animals at the shelter have come in as a stray which mean they may not know how to sit or stay. They also might not have manners such as not to jump. Adopting takes patience. Please research the dog breed you are interested in and remember it takes time. Refer to the sheltering 3/3/3 rule of adopting for help.

Story
Meet Hunny, a playful, energetic, and friendly goofball. Her story is as magical as her personality. One day, while frolicking in a meadow, she stumbled upon a fairy circle. Curious, she stepped in and was transported to our shelter. It was a strange twist of fate, but it seems the fairies knew Hunny needed help with her skin issues. Here, she enjoys baths that soothe her skin, and she's a pro at leash walks. Hunny is sweet, loyal, and ready to share her love. She's waiting for a family who will embrace her magical journey and give her the forever home she deserves.Long walks or fenced in back yard is always the best environment for dogs, but exercise is the main goal. Story
We have found she is a very vocal and loving girl. She does not care for restraint and has done good with some dogs here at the shelter. Khala was owner surrendered because she was told to be aggressive to people. The previous owner did not though that "she was a good girl, but with some issues." We are unsure if it was a circumstance of where she was living, but we have found that Khala is a sweet girl, but there are many things she has not been exposed to. One thing we have found is that she is barrier reactive. This means when she is in a pen or has something between you and her like a gate, she does not always give a true reading of what her personality is. She may growl or bark, but that is because inside that kennel or space is her safe space and her domain and she is protective of her area. We have also found she does not care for restraint and has done good with some dogs here at the shelter.Long walks or fenced in back yard is always the best environment for dogs, but exercise is the main goal. We can test our dogs with other dogs at the shelter, but not every dog may get along with your dog this is why if you do have a pet at home we strongly suggest meet and greets before adopting. I came in as a transfer from Dillion County with my babies. They've all been adopted. Everyone that meets me comments on what a beautiful lady I am. I love to go on walks with the volunteers and I walk very well on a leash. Full disclosure, I am not fond of cats, but I do get along well with other dogs. I am spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Adopters must be 23 years old.

Story
Volunteer Michelle and Carl had this to say about Wendy"Wendy seems very gentle. She stopped to cool her paws in the pool after enjoying some treats and relieving herself. We went for a short walk and Wendy was very calm. Did not pull much at all on the leash. She took her treats nicely and chewed before Swallowing. Wendy is a sweet, nice girl."Wendy is a project dog at the shelter which basically means she is working with a kennel member to become more adoptable, get out of the shelter more for walks, and spend more quality time with people. She has been good with kids she has been around. She pulls on the leash, but shelter staff is working with her on this. She is a great candidate for a doggy day out or doggy weekend get away so she can learn to be in a home setting better. She is very treat motivated. She knows how to sit. She will come to her name and she knows how to give paw. Wendy enjoys doing her own things but she will show you lots of attention if you have treats with wide eyes. She is current on vaccines, microchips, spayed and heartworm negative.

Story
This is Chisel. Chisel came into the shelter as a stray. He was injured and a little malnourished. After some time, food and care he has filled out and is working on becoming more and more adoptable. He has a handler that works with him each week making him more adoptable. We do not know his background, but while here his handler has been working with him on commands. We have been working with him on his jumping since when he gets excited he does jump some but he is doing better. He is very treat motivated and we can tell him down or sit and he has learned to not jump because he will get treats. Chisel still has some work to be done, but he has the potential to be a great pet. We have dog tested him and he did ok with male dogs, but can be dominate. We recently took him out with one of our dogs named Wigs and they did great together playing. We think he may be better with female dogs, but we strongly suggest meet and greets at the shelter so you can know for sure if your pets will get along.

Story
This is Nylah. She is a big lovable girl. She came into the shelter as a owner surrender after her previous owner was having some health issues and could not take care of her anymore. At her previous owners home she was not housed with another animal. She was adopted out recently and she did not do well with the smaller dog that was with her. We have taken her to events before and walked her around with other animals her size and she communicated with them and done well, but we are not sure about every animal she encounters. We believe she may have a prey drive with animals smaller with her and selective with which animals she likes. She is a dominate big girl. We suggest a meet and greet if you are interested in her with a slow introduction. She is housetrained and up to date on shots.Long walks or fenced in back yard is always the best environment for dogs, but exercise is the main goal.
