Story
Abby was found in the street. We think she is 3 yo. When I found her she was so skinny and had a chain and lock in her neck, she was in urgent need of medical help. After 2 weeks in the vet’s hospital she was able to come to her temporary home for more medical care of her wound around her neck. Finally she healed completely and gained weight and we had time to get to know her under normal circumstances. Even after all she went through, she is the most loving dog, she loves petting and cuddling, she is very smart and obedient, she knows things like sitting and not eating until she has permission, she won’t get on the furniture but she likes to lay on some puffy bed on the floor (she only likes the floor when she has been running or playing). She likes playing but she is still learning how to do so, she likes squeeky toys and playing with people. When left alone inside a home, she behaves very well and doesn’t destroy. She is loyal and deserves a home that love her and care for her.

Story
Hi everyone, This is April. She can sit, shake, lay down & is potty-trained. She is currently up to date with all her vaccines and medications for heartworm & flea and tick. April is coming up on a year old & will remain the size she's in now (roughly 45lbs); according to the vet. April is a very hyperactive baby who loves to run, jump & play. She does not have an off switch & will run all day if she could. Because April is very hyperactive, I am unable to have her loose in my house because of the infants in our home. She has never shown an sign of aggression towards any children but I fear that her playful spirit could injure one of the babies by accident. As a precaution, I have her in a kennel. This is not the life I had envisioned for her. Therefore, I am searching for a forever home for April so that she can run and be free. I love April very much and I wish to find good people who can give her the life she deserves. Please help me find her her perfect home. Thank you.

Story
The name Ryo is primarily a gender-neutral name of Japanese origin that means Exceed, Survive, and Excel. Our sweet Ryo is living up to his name, Ryo has been with us for over 500 days. In that time he has exceeded our expectations of how smart he is, he has excelled in playgroups, meet & greets, and tails around town, and he has such a will to survive that even heartworms can't stop him. Ryo is a lovable dog. He is great with humans, responds so well to our trainers, walks great on a leash, and gives us no problems when having to go back to his kennel. His spunky playful side comes out with water. He loves playing in kiddie pools and being free outside. Don't be discouraged by Ryo being heartworm positive here at PVAS we provide treatment for pets that have been adopted with us. Stop by our Laurie P Andrews center and meet him today!
