Story
My neighbor alerted me to this stray kitten that had been hanging around on her porch and had had a litter of kittens some time ago. She thought she was pregnant again, but after a couple of months in rescue she was not. Mandy is very vocal with her expressions when she is hungry or just needs reassurance that someone loves her. She was already tamed and my neighbor was able to just hand her to me. She likes other cats and does well but pretty independent. She is much neater now than she was at first with learning her litter box. She no longer kicks the litter out of the box or lays in it any more. She would make an excellent friend for someone weather they stay home a lot or not. She like being inside in her room or in her big cage.

Story
Flowers and his brother Thumper have, quite honestly, been my best friends over the past ~3 years of grad school in Memphis. Flowers is super sweet and always near me. His kisses and support have been a lifeline for me as I've sat at my desk struggling over a thesis paper. My setup is such that I have a perch above where I work from which we play catch with toy mice. A total love bug. He must be rehomed with his brother Thumper.

Story
Cher is a gentle, affectionate 11-year-old kitty looking for her true forever home. She has been rehomed through no fault of her own and deserves a calm, stable environment where she can feel safe and secure. She previously lived with dogs and another cat. The home she was in before had dogs who were aggressive towards her. Despite this, her reaction to calmer dogs is to mostly stay out of their way and hide until she feels safe. She has been declawed and this causes her to be a little shy to new spaces and especially to new animals. She is incredibly friendly, loves to cuddle, and is very clean and easy to care for—an ideal companion for a first-time cat owner or anyone seeking a low-key, loving pet.Cher has recently had a full blood panel and is up to date on her vaccinations. She is currently being fostered while we search for the right match. Due to allergies and health concerns, her foster cannot keep her long-term.

Story
Buster was brought in off the street at 6 months old in November of 2025. His confidence has risen over the last few months and has started bullying the other cats, even the one that had cuddled with and groomed him. Aside from the issues with the other cats, he is a very playful boy. He enjoys chasing stringed toys and loves his stuffed fish. He still acts feral around food and must be locked up during meals, regardless of how recently he was fed.

Story
UPDATE: All health issues previously disclosed here have, praise God, been resolved!!Hootie is extremely laid back and lovable. He wants to be snuggled up next to people at all times and loves to be pet. He is perfect for anyone looking for a lazy, chonky senior kitty. As much as we love him, we have three young children, including a three-year-old with severe autism who requires a high level of daily care and supervision, and having pets has become incompatible with the demands of our life.

Story
This is PeeWee, a lovely small classic female kitty who was born around 6/28/2023.  She is a bit shy and reserved, but loves to roll over for a belly rub She loves NAPS under the covers.  She loves to be petted while on your lap.  The perfect work-from-home companion kitty.  She loves to play and loves all cat toys and is definitely loads of fun. She could probably be a single kitty, but would also do well with a friendly low-key kitty.  She has never been around dogs and is not recommended for a dog home. She is neutered, has had all age appropriate vaccines, microchip, and a confirmed NEGATIVE FIV/FeLV test.   If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website and complete an online application using this link: http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net.   Once your application is received and processed you will be contacted by an NBAR Volunteer.
