Hi there! My name is Sabrina and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I'm a 5 month old, Female, American Shorthair who came to SB Humane in search of a new caring home. I am sweet, friendly, and shy to start off. With time, patience and love I will slowly come around! Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!

Boe is a kitten , he is very sweet and playful We adopted Boe but due to personal health I can no longer have him. He is an indoor kitten, to my knowledge he is 5 months. He is litter trained . I would love for him to go to a loving family where he can grow and live his life.

Story
Merlin is around four; we adopted him from the local animal shelter two years ago. He is a wonderful, friendly, sweet cat that we love. He sits on our laps and enjoys belly rubs like a dog. He does not ever scratch or bite us, despite him being quite playful. We only have one issue and it's not his fault, but has reached the point where it's better for Merlin to rehome. We also want him to have a richer life since he is bored here and the house is too small; he likes to play and runs fast, but there is nowhere to go. Our female cat is tiny and timid, so when Merlin tries to play with her she runs away fast, but chasing fast objects is his favorite game, so Merlin thinks she is playing. Rinse repeat; we've tried everything but it's too much stress for our female cat and our daughter. Merlin will be a wonderful single cat, or a great playmate for the right companion. We want to find him a great home because he is amazing and so full of love!

Special needs kitten Gracie is a sweet girl born in September, with moderate Cerebral Hyperplasia "wobbly kitten" syndrome.   She loves to play with her toys, be held by her foster parents and enjoys sitting in the sun.  Gracie is super sweet and loves everyone.   Due to her condition she is indoor only with supervised visits outdoors.  She is litter box trained, eats on her own, though we do help her with her wet food, and has perfect grooming habits.  She loves her foster dog and other foster kittens. Meet Poem, a stunning 2-year-old black Siamese mix who’s officially in her “me time” era. After spending her kitten-hood as a young mama, she’s still figuring out the whole “other cats” thing—she’ll tolerate them, but she plays a bit too hard and can be growly in her excitement. She prefers to be the queen of the castle and would thrive as an only cat. Now that her mama duties are done, Poem is making up for lost playtime! She’s high-energy, loves interactive toys (wands, balls, tunnels—yes, please!), and would be perfect for a home with older kids or teens ready to keep up. And when she’s done zooming?
