Story
Lady is the love of my life! I cannot believe that our relationship has come to this. I received her as a birthday gift that took a little time for her to trust me. Once she learned to trust we have been the best of friends. We talk, love each other with kisses and nods. She allows me to hold her for a short period of time and sleeps with me. She’s a great best friend but can be possessive and territorial. She’s a scary cat; runs and hides when new people comes over, new voice and definitely at the sound of the door bell.

Story
Cheddar is a foster I took with me when I moved to Rochester. He is amazing but with school in full swing I cannot care for him. He is very sweet and loving and is good with other cats or alone. He is young, between 1-2 years of age and is fully up to date on shots and is neutered. Rehoming fee is to ensure that he goes to someone who can take care of him.

Story
Shiva is very attentive and loving. She’s also possessive, not wanting my other cats to come near me, but not aggressive. Territorial, yes! She can be a muncher; she loves to eat. I obtained through family, but I’m unable to keep my fur babies. Three is too much! I’m looking for someone who will be able to give her the time, love and attention she will need and deserve!

Layla is one of a kind. She does not require a lot of attention. She’ll talk and allow you to touch on her terms; which I do respect her boundaries. Who she is makes me love her more. She graze at her food throughout the day and loves her treats twice a day! I obtained her through an ad.

Story
This is sweet Phoenix. Please see how beautiful he looks now after receiving love and care from this foster! Phoenix is a very special kitty with some special needs. Phoenix was found on a country road on a freezing cold day this past winter. He literally ran to the truck his foster mom was in when it stopped at a stop sign. Phoenix began trying to climb the truck - he was that desperate for help. His foster - who must have been placed there by divine intervention, opened the door and scooped him up. He was skeletal and very sick. She took him home and she and her boyfriend worked to warm him and keep him alive. The boyfriend slept on the bathroom floor the first few nights to keep him company and to keep an eye on him. His story is very long, but it was discovered that he is diabetic and has hyperthyroidism. He has been on meds for both and is doing great. His new family would need to be willing to care for his special medical needs. He is a docile, sweet, cuddly and lovable boy. He loves all other animals, children and never creates any problems. He takes his medicine easily and it truly just the sweetest boy ever. He will eventually need a dental cleaning and maybe a couple of teeth pulled. He is neutered and up to date on all vaccines. Phoenix is a kitty who saw his last chance for help when he saw that truck and ran to it. How he knew the people inside were exactly the people he needed in that remote location is hard to comprehend. But he has come back to life from the brink of death, with the love and care of his foster family. Please contact Janine the Bean Rescue if you'd like to meet this incredibly sweet boy. ========================================================== Janine the Bean All of our cats/kittens will be spayed/neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccines, FeLV tested, deflead, and dewormed as part of the adoption process. There are so many cats that are stray, lost or (sadly) thrown away by their owners and left on the streets to fend for themselves trying to find food and a warm, dry place to sleep. Janine Wagner, of Janine The Bean Rescue, is a one-woman savior to these cats! She goes out every morning at 4am, 365 days a year in rain, snow & sleet in the Beechwood section of Rochester, NY to provide shelters and feed at 18 different locations, totaling nearly 100 cats. Plus, she TNR's (traps, neuters & returns) many of them to prevent overpopulation -- some of those cats that she traps, she tries to foster and get them adopted into forever homes and off the streets.
