Story
Minnie was rescued from the streets of Myrtle Beach when she was a few weeks old. A family friend was taking care of her but couldn't give her the attention she needed so we took her in and have been working to socialize her, as well as took her to the vet. She is 6.5 months old and has been fully vaccinated. She is not spayed yet. She is a little skittish at first but warms up to you. She does well with other cats and tolerates dogs that don't mess with her (ours is 11 and they get along fine). We are moving to an apartment in July and cannot bring her with since we are exceeding the pet limit. Need an adopter who is experienced with rescued cats as she does need someone who has some patience and can help her feel safe.

Story
Knives was found outside in 100°F weather, the "owners" gave her to us because they knew we wanted her to be inside and well kept. Since then she has mellowed out but really wants to be with you. She loves playing with other PEOPLE, and loves to be pet and rubbed on the face. She's best friends with our Dog but she has no experience with other dogs besides him. She gets along with our cat Leo but falcon and Leo are older and don't have the energy she has. PLEASE keep her in the home. We want her to be loved by people who will take care of her.

Story
We adopted Tommy from Petsmart when he was a very small kitten, just old enough to have in our home. He has been a pet pig and a lapcat for my wife. Sadly, my wife passed February of this year. I need to sell the home and move into an apartment where I can keep only two of our three pets, a purebred, Maltese and her daughter bred with a Coton. I can have only two pets in the duplex where I’m moving, since the house has to be sold as part of the estate settlement. Tommy is a sweetheart, and I need someone to love him and care for him. He will be six years old this October 22.

Story
Skye Female, DSH, solid gray with white dot on chest, 2-3 years old, 9 lbs Would prefer to be an only cat, older children only, not dog tested Skye so desperately wants to love and be loved but needs to adjust to home life after being on her own, probably since kittenhood. She was found living under a house near a dangerously busy intersection. We believe she recently had a litter of kittens but they were nowhere to be found. She is timid and skittish but will rub against your legs and lean in for cheek rubs! She currently spends most of the day under the bed or couch but will come out late in the evening for some affection and treats! She is definitely nocturnal but will spend much of the night sleeping with her foster mom. Skye loves to be pet and will come when called only with proper motivation, like treats! She is food-motivated and loves catnip! She does not like to be held, but oddly, does not run when her foster mom tries to pick her up! Skye will need a cat savvy family with plenty of patience to work with a cat who has probably been on her own all her life. She has only been in rescue a short time so is still getting acclimated to home life. Her foster mom is convinced that, with time, she will become a wonderful, loving and loyal companion! Adoption fee of $110 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, FIV/FELV test and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.

Story
Her name is Umami but I call her Uma. When I found her, it was sometime in the middle of winter. I lived on the third floor of an apartment complex where the majority tenants were college students. I would hear a cat screaming at night when the temperature would get too frigid. We couldn't find one anywhere on the ground floor near the apartment in the bushes or near the dumpsters. One night, I was heading out when I passed by her on my way down stairs. We discovered that her owners, kept her out on the porch/balcony of their apartment on the third floor. She was still a kitten at this point, maybe a few months old. We knocked on the owner's door and asked to take her. They agreed. She was unvaccinated and unspayed, but she was very sweet and full of energy. The reason I’m rehoming her is because I believe the other cats in the house are stressing her out. She doesn’t play as much anymore and she hides more. [continued in the diet section]

Story
Hey Y'all, My name is Tiffin. I am told that I am the sweetest kitty. I have many fans who love me dearly — all human. Unfortunately, they all have a houseful of pets:-( But I hold deep in my kitty heart the assurance that someone will love me and take me home to be their loving fur baby. I have a quiet, short meow that's almost a chirp. Recently, I visited a friend's catio. WOW! That was very cool. I loved chattering with the birds and squirrels. My foster family has a cat tree near a window and I watch them teasing me outside and my imagination goes wild. As you can see, I know how to entertain myself...thank you very much. My birthday is September 28, 2020. I am a Libra who likes to keep close to my fosters and make them happy. I weigh 7.5lbs and am so pretty in my beautiful, dramatic and glamorous black fur coat with a secret white undercoat. I am spayed and up to date with all my vaccines. I do need monthly application of Revolution for life other than that I am healthy and happy. I am looking for a home where I am the only pet. I need to be the center of your attention. I am happiest when my foster family or their friends are petting me. Well, except maybe happiest when they are feeding me :-) If you are looking for new roommate and ready for a lifetime commitment, the first step is to complete the Humane Association of the Lowcountry (HAL) Adoption Application located on the HAL website. The URL is: http://www.halsc.org Looking forward to meeting you. Tiffin
