Story
Hi I'm Zoe!! I'm a pretty brindle gal, just about 4-5 years old and a fit 40 pounds. I've had a bit of a rocky start in life, not because I'm a bad girl, but because not everyone is as kind to us fur-kids as they should be. I saw a T-shirt on someone visiting the Ark that pretty well sums me up - it said 'I like dogs more than I like people'. Well, I'm the complete opposite - I love people more than I like dogs!!! Now, don't get me wrong, I do like some dogs, but some I just don't have any patience with, and I prefer women to men most of the time but I do make exceptions! I'm not a gal who wants to live in the past, I just need someone to love me the way I deserve to be loved, focus on the future with me and not the past, and I promise I'll be a love-bug forever!! When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, and the most guesses were that I'm an American Staffy mix, but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! ** Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.

Story
Beans is a sweet girl and family dog that is 5 years old. She is fully trained and loves to play tug of war and have LOTS of naps. She may snore a little but it adds to her sweet charm. Unfortunately our family has to find her a new home due to a family member’s health issues, so we hope our girl can bring joy to someone else like she has brought joy to us.

Story
This is Beans. We rescued her from a humane society in 2019. She is 5 years old. We are looking to rehome her to an owner that is either pet free or has small animals. Beans is afraid of animals larger than her. She is good with kids, but sometimes forgets how big she is (50 lbs) and will jump if play gets too exciting. She is a sweet girl that loves to cuddle and lounge around. Her favorite type of play is tug of war and she is motivated by affection. She is house trained, crate trained, and behavior trained. She knows the commands sit, stay, down, out (to exit a room), and is eager to learn more. She will whine when it is time to eat or go outside. She needs moderate exercise. Currently I walk her twice a day but once would be more than enough. I am looking to rehome her because I recently became prone to repeat skin infections and cannot pet/physically interact with her anymore. She is a great dog that deserves a loving home.

Story
Intelligent and sweet, poor Molson has survived a rough past. A Walker Hound/Staffie mix, this 2-year-old, 77-pound boy, was found emaciated and beaten up, perhaps left for dead. Despite his horrible experience, Molson is loving without a mean bone in his body. He loves kids and other dogs and gets fixed next week, so he will be all ready to go to the caring home he truly deserves. Come meet Molson and see how terrific he is!

Story
Lucky is a great puppy who does puppy things. She loves to play and is crate trained already at three months. She's a playful one who loves fetch and exploration. She constantly engages my senior dog though it tires him out. She loves her toys and will outgrow the puppy nipping through training and maturity. I'm sad to lose her but bottom line is my family just cannot devote the time needed to having a new puppy and we want her to go to a good home.
