Story
We found Sammy (2yo)abandoned at a boat landing where he had been dumped from by a previous owner(saw video from a security camera; license plate unreadable). He jumped right into our truck and rode to his new home. He instantly bonded with our large - but gentle - pit mix (5yrs) and our cranky (15yo)terrier/chihuahua mix. Loves to play with his big brother, Finn. Sammy is affectionate, non-aggressive (unless you are an outdoor cat), and very high-spirited. He also likes to explore. If a gate or door is open and he is behind you, he will zoom past. However we have taught him to stay with voice and hand command when facing us. When we rescued him about 6 months ago, we had intended to keep him as part of our family. However, being that my wife has dementia and I am her 24/7 caregiver(both seniors), his high energy and rambling is too much added anxiety for us. Sammy would do well with a young person/family to match his high-spirits. Adoption fee donated to shelter.

Story
Mopsie is a one-year-old Staffy mix with a whole lot of love and energy packed into her strong, wiggly frame. Friendly, outgoing, and full of life, Mopsie is what we like to call “a big baby”—she adores attention, gives the sweetest kisses, and is always ready for pets and belly rubs. She’s great with kids, didn’t bat an eye at the cat, and shows interest in playing with other dogs. Mopsie is very playful and has that puppy spirit shining bright. She’s working on learning to sit and walk nicely on a leash, and with her strength and enthusiasm, she’ll definitely benefit from continued training and structure. But with her eagerness to please and love of people, she’s off to a great start. Mopsie’s adoption fee is $300, which includes her spay, vaccines, microchip, and parasite prevention.
