Bella is a sweet, friendly 3-year-old Black Mouth Cur/Lab/Boxer mix with a gentle nature and a story that will tug at your heart.
Bella’s life changed when a Good Samaritan stopped at a gas station in the middle of nowhere Alabama and noticed her standing near the door with her head hanging low. When she asked the attendant about her, she was shocked to hear that Bella had been hanging around there for nearly two years.
She couldn’t leave her behind.
Bella was covered in fleas, missing patches of hair, and clearly hadn’t had the care she deserved. Her rescuer scooped her up, took her home, and made sure she received all the veterinary care she needed. Today, you’d hardly recognize her—Bella has blossomed into the beautiful girl you see in these pictures!
Her veterinarian believes Bella has had a couple of litters of puppies in her past, but those days are behind her. Now it’s finally Bella’s turn to be someone’s baby.
Bella is very friendly and currently lives peacefully with three cats. She seems genuinely grateful for every bit of love and kindness she receives.
This special girl has already spent far too much of her life waiting. She deserves a comfortable home, a family who adores her, and the security of knowing she’ll never be left behind again.

Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you.
The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.
NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption.
If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.
