Story
Hi there! My name is Chloe and I am a 12 year old female American Staffordshire Terrier who is eager to be your loyal companion. You can find me at the Santa Maria campus. Want to know a little bit about me? I am a bundle of love and joy. I'm on the lookout for a special human who's ready to be my one and only. I might be a bit of a diva when it comes to sharing the spotlight-I prefer to be the star of the show, without any other pets stealing my thunder. But don't worry, I'm all about the snuggles and belly rubs! I'm pretty laid-back due to my age and enjoy a low-key lifestyle, so if you're into chill afternoons and cozy evenings, we'll be the perfect match. Did I mention I am great with people of all ages? Come by and meet me, no promises you will leave alone! Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!

Story
Mr. Ollie will draw you in with his eyes of gold. Aren't they stunning? He has a heart of gold to go along with his eyes as well. Ollie is 8 years old and has skills he loves to show off to anyone who visits him. He lived the first few years of his life in a very secluded place, so the outside world sometimes scares him and he responds by trying to act tough. He's incredibly smart and loves to learn tricks and play games. The home that is ideal for him is one that doesn't have any animals or any animals next door. A country villa with birds chirping sounds good to him. If you think Ollie could be the guy you have been looking to spend your time with please fill out an adoption questionnaire.

Part of a BONDED PAIR with his sister Scout. Meet Atticus & Scout, the dynamic duo ready to steal your heart! These low and squat "land hippos" may be a little wild and mischievous, but their love knows no bounds. Atticus & Scout are the epitome of friendly, always greeting everyone they meet with wagging tails and big smiles. With medium energy levels, Atticus & Scout are the perfect balance of playful and relaxed. They love nothing more than snuggling up with their favorite humans and romping around a yard, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. They're sure to bring endless joy and laughter to any home lucky enough to have them. However, it's important to note that Atticus & Scout need a home with a strong fence, as they're quite the adventurers and love to explore. Additionally, they're not fans of cats and prefer to be the only pets in the household. If you're looking for a pair of loyal companions who will fill your life with laughter and snuggles, look no further than Atticus & Scout. Come meet these wonderful pups today and see if they're the perfect match for your family!

Story
Lola needs our help friends. She is very much at peace in this photo and we want to help her continue to feel safe, loved and happy. We can't share the details of her history here but suffice to say she had a pretty rough life before we were able to get her to safety. And she is safe now, but in a very temporary home. She needs to find her forever person and start building new and happy memories. Lola is about 2 yrs old and in good health. She is silly and playful but also craves attention and affection and will happily curl up next to you for some TV time or keep your lap warm while you read. She never lived in a home before so it's taking her a minute to get her potty routine down but she is super smart and picking it up fast. She walks nicely on the leash after a few minutes of getting her initial excitement out and will match your pace. She really likes treats, good food and to sleep in the bed with her person. She needs to be an only dog (for now) but is not reactive on leash when walking. She is more comfortable with women than men, but a patient man with soft energy and the ability to just give her the time and space to come to him will win her over in no time. She has some low grade separation anxiety so someone who is home most of the time is the best fit for her. Lola is one of the lucky ones to have left her former life behind but she can't live in limbo. Without a home, her good luck was for naught. I know it's the holidays and everyone has other things on their mind and other plans. But what greater gift is there than saving a life? We are looking for a forever home for Lola, not a rescue, shelter or foster. She needs stability and to not bounce around or live in a kennel. If you think you and Lola could be a good fit for each other please reach out, and if not please share this widely. We need her perfect person to see her (soon). Thank you!

Story
His name is Abe, but really it should have been Tigger. You know, as in "they're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun!" Yep - that's Abe in a nutshell. He is technically a senior, but you'd never know it. He loves to bounce and play, go for walks and car rides and end the day with some nice cuddle time on the couch. He'd prefer someone who is around more than they are not and who includes him in the party. Abe is mostly indifferent to other dogs and is not looking to start trouble but really likes to have all the human attention to himself. We think he'd be horrified at the thought of sharing his home with another dog so, like Tigger, Abe's motto is "I'm the only one!".
