Story
This young senior found herself urgent & on the euthanasia list at Fresno’s high kill shelter. I had been following her posts so could NOT let her die. So WELCOME Dutchess to The Ranch. She is SAFE & already loved. ❤️🐾❤️ Named Dutchess in memorandum of our Duke that we lovingly helped over the rainbow bridge. She joyfully runs to meet you, signing the song of her people, and dances in your presence. She is a happy and loving young senior. 🐾 female 🐾 already spayed 🐾 micro-chipped 🐾 dental recently done 🐾 fully vaccinated (rabies included) 🐾 she has had surgery for both ears for ear hematomas 🐾 minor food guarding (not with people but other dogs; very minor) 🐾 minor food guarding (not with people but other dogs; very minor) 🐾 Good with everything. She has been good with everything here at The Ranch (horses, goats, cats, other big dogs). She does really seem to like small dogs (we will need to assess this interest more). 🐾 approx. 9+ years young 🐾 rt hip hitch, sometimes favors it (not since starting her daily joint supplements), has a fatty lump in this area that I think is unrelated (vet verified that it was benign) 🐾 very sweet 🐾 gentle on the leash, been taught to sit & wait at gates (no door dashing; threshold manners) 🐾 doesn't crowd her food dish (sits and waits; threshold manners) 🐾 takes treats ever so gently 🐾 LOVES her squishy beds & soft blankets 🐾 loves to follow you around & get pets 🐾 she sits, stays, makes eye contact, knows her 'release' sign (she knows hand signals) 🐾 seems to have some hearing loss 🐾 tons of personality 🐾 vocal but in a silly & happy way (she tells you about her day) 🐾 independent but likes to hang around her person 🐾 hates the sweaters I lovingly put on her when it is cold (haha)

Diva is a very affectionate dog and loves to spend time sleeping in your lap. She likes to look out the door or window and is very interested in what's going on outside. She has great house and leash manners. Not crate trained. She's about 13 - I rescued her from a shelter in Lancaster in 2016 and she has been here since. I'm getting old and frail and can no longer look after her.

Story
Kodak is a year and 4m old American Staffordshire Terrier that came into my families lives earlier this year. He is soooo sweet and soft. Hes a large dog who thinks hes a lap dog. He loves cuddles and playing fetch. I have 2 kids, a teen and toddler and he does well with both. In fact, he sleeps with my 16 year old every night. Kodak is a rescue, prior to coming home with us he was at the Humane Society since Dec 2022. He loves car rides! Zoomies are his favorite thing to do at our local park! We have taken him multiple times to the dog park at Woodward park, which he does well in making friends. The behavior specialist at the Humane society informed us that he does not do well with other male dogs in the home. Since hes the only dog we have,we weren't able experience that behavior. Shortly after bringing him home,i accepted a job offer that has consumed majority of my time. Its not fair to him that he does get the love and attention he deserves due to my career change.

Story
Meet Eema Aka Roxy! Roxy is a 2 year old American Staffordshire terrier mix who came into our care back in February 2022, and not long after was adopted. Recently, Roxy came back into our care due to her stress and dislike towards other animals. Miss Roxy did unfortunately come to us with some battle scars from wrestling with the other animals she did not get along with, but that didn't slow her down one bit! Now she is completely ready to move on to a new home and find a loving family that will smother her with all the love and kisses she could ever have!Roxy would do great in a fast paced environment! Though she is great will all ages, we do recommend, that if there are children in the home, her to be around older children at least 5 years and up due to her high energy! Roxy definitely needs to be the only dog in the household, it's not that she doesn't get along with other animals, it's just that she can feel overwhelmed at times and just needs extra and special attention and training! If you are interested in meeting Roxy, please submit an application at www.valleyanimal.org.At Valley Animal Center, our mission is to unite dogs and cats with loving people. Story
Autumn is a female mixed-breed puppy from our Fall litter. (DOB 9-22-21) We believe Autumn's Mom is a Boxer/Staffordshire mix, but we have zero info on Dad. While estimating the adult sizes of a mixed breed puppy can be a challenge, we estimate, based on her current size, she will be a medium sized dog around 40-50 lbs full grown. Autumn is a light golden puppy with a dark mask, and a white spot on her nose. Autumn's are likely on their way to standing upright just like her Mom's, but in the meantime they are flip-flopping all around in the most adorable way. She’s a silly puppy that will make anything into a game. If you want her to go into the exercise pen, first you have to catch her! She is an active and confident puppy that is sure to add adventures to your life. She is being fostered in a home with other dogs, both large and small, old and young. Autumn has not been around cats yet, but she is very young and we strongly believe that she could live happily with cats if given proper introductions. Her adoption fee includes up to date vaccinations, deworming, microchip, flea/tick preventative, and spay/neuter. Could you Fall for Autumn? Please email us for an application at howlelujah.rescue@gmail.com.

While estimating the adult sizes of a mixed breed puppy can be a challenge, we estimate, based on Caramel's current size, she will be a medium sized dog around 40-50 lbs full grown. Caramel loves toys! Her love for those dollies is only rivaled by her love of a good cuddle. Caramel is so named because she is multiple variations of the caramel color. She has gorgeous light eyes the color of her coat. Caramel has a slightly longer coat than her siblings, we have joked often that she looks like a caramel candy dropped in a barber shop. She is being fostered in a home with other dogs, both large and small, old and young. Caramel has not been around cats yet, but she is very young and we strongly believe that she could live happily with cats if given proper introductions.
