Story
Broly is a sweet, loyal boy who will be turning 3 years old on December 25th. He was originally rescued from a home in Palmdale, CA, and he has come a long way with love, structure, and patience. Broly can be a little hesitant when meeting new dogs, but with time and calm introductions, he adjusts very well. He has never attacked another dog and has never bitten anyone. He is especially wonderful with kids of all ages and has always been gentle and patient. He is also fully potty trained and knows to go to the bathroom outside. Broly’s need for a new home is not his fault. Due to unexpected circumstances, our landlord has given us a strict deadline, and we only have about two weeks before we must surrender him or risk losing our housing. This is heartbreaking for us, and we want to make sure he goes to someone who will love him and give him the stability he deserves. Broly is a loving companion who would thrive in a patient, caring home.

Looking for a dog who will love you with his whole heart? That's me-Ivan! I'm a 1 and a half-year-old Staffordshire mix, and if there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I adore people. I may be a little shy at first, but give me some time to adjust and I'll be right by your side. Once we're friends, I'm all in-ready for walks, toys, adventures, or just hanging out together.I'm also a proud playgroup member! That means I love making dog friends and, with a proper introduction, I'll hit it off with other pups. To help me keep building confidence, my adoption even comes with a enrollement fee waived 6-week Feisty Fido session with a Woods trainer. This special class will support me in continuing to learn calm, positive introductions with new dogs.I've got the perfect balance of playful energy and cuddle-loving sweetness, making me the ultimate companion. Come meet me at Woods Humane Society in SLO, seven days a week from 12-4 PM-I can't wait to meet my new best friend! We adopted Jack in the summer of 2025 as a companion for our female Boxer, Penny, who is the same age. Jack is an incredibly sweet, affectionate boy, but we've learned that he truly needs to be the only dog in the home. Before coming to us, Jack was an only dog and is happiest when he doesn't have to share attention or resources. While Jack and Penny have had a few scuffles, Jack is not an aggressive dog or an instigator - he simply thrives best as the sole pet. In the right environment, his loving personality really shines. He adores cuddling, being pet, playing tug-of-war, and enjoying tasty treats (blueberries are a favorite!). Jack would do best with a single owner or a couple without children who can give him the one-on-one attention he deserves. He's looking for a home where he can be someone's one and only, and he'll return that devotion with endless love.

Stella is a lover and a big lap dog. She needs all the love and attention at all times. She gets along with other dogs when at a dog park or on walks but our dogs don’t always get along with her. It’s recommended that she’s an only dog in the home. When it comes to her food she is definitely not a sharer. She is also good with kids, but she’s an attention hog. So when you get on the ground to play with kids or play on the floor she will be coming right over to sit in your lap.
