I'm in a FOSTER HOME! If you want to meet me, start the process by emailing my foster parent at romamazumdar@yahoo.com to set up a time to meet me virtually or in person. Hello, my name is Gus, and about 5 minutes after we meet you *will* have a crush on me, promise! I love people, I'm cute as a button, and have a fun silly side you'll love. A bit on the short side and at a little over 30 lbs, I am also of a most practical size and will fit perfectly into your lap. And into your lap I'll try to climb, often and quickly, as I'm a very affectionate pup. Seriously, I just looove my pets and will melt right in front of you. I may as well develop a crush on you! I came to the shelter because my former owner could no longer take care of me. If you're looking for a handsome young man who has a lot to offer, I am your crush, eh, guy! For more information, or to meet me, contact romamazumdar@yahoo.com.

Story
My name is peaches and I am the sweetest pit! I am one and a half years old and I am extremely fast! I am very affectionate and loving. I need a lot of exercise and would do best in a house with a yard because I have so much energy. I am still not fully socialized and I tend to get very excited around other dogs!

** I am currently being housed at our New York Avenue location. Come meet me at 1201 New York Avenue NE, every day from 12pm-7pm. Please arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. to allow ample time to interact with adoptable dogs. Or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more. Howdy all! I'm Flex and I have been told that I am "extremely friendly" and it's true. I LOVE being with people and just like to say "HI" to all. I was found as a stray and started working my charm on my rescuers. They all said, "what a very good boy" and again- they are right! I'm awesome. I love to be loved and to give it back. And I am very cute and am one of those dogs that likes to lean on people. So, if you are seeking a robust cuddle bug who likes to go for fun, frisky walks then we must make a date to meet soon. I can't wait! Love and soggy doggie kisses, Flex.

Yes, my name is Hobbes, and I am a handsome doggie who sometimes acts like an affectionate kitty. You read that right- I like to rub up on people like the felines do! I so want your love, attention, and pettings. And I like to nudge hands as a reminder that petting animals can lower your blood pressure. It's a WIN-WIN! So, I was a lost dog and a kind person contact HRA to save me. I was so friendly with everyone as I was just very happy. I can be very happy with you too, but you just need to meet me soon. Visit HRA today and let's fall in love!

Bunna here and I am the sweetie snuggle doggie you have been looking for. And I am really looking for someone to love! There I was- a lost dog but a kind person found me and called HRA. They saved me and in the nick of time! I was kind of a hot mess- my skin had pressure sores, and I had some bald patches on my body. No one knows what happened to me, but I have healed up so nicely and I am back to being the pretty girl. I am very lovable, super sweet and really enjoy being close. I have a good appetite and really enjoy yummy treats. So, what do you say. Want to meet me and make future plans? Discuss an exercise plan with me? You do!?!? Great- then meet me soon and let's get the snuggle fest started.
