Where I come from, Viktor stands for VICTORY!!! And I am living proof of the victory there is in the rescue world! I mean, there I was, skinny and mangy and sad and scared and trying to help my little "girlfriend" sweet Dasha. I had no idea who to trust, I had no idea where to go or what we were going to eat..... We are a great pair of pups, only about 7 months old, and we were literally found dumped on the side of a railroad tracks at less than 10 weeks old :( When we were found, we each had one eye that was like a "cherry pie", I think that's what the doctor man said..... Meet, Lux! Lux is our amazing friend here at the SPCA looking for his next furever home. He was unfortunately abandoned by his owner, but then was taken care of by a loving pair of people who tried to give him the best life. As he has no issues with men, he LOVES women, and generally friendly. He may be shy and uncertain until you win his trust and he gets to know you. He does not have a history around cats, but we do know that he does not do well with other dogs. He has done well with kids ages 8+ but does not do well with the smaller ones. He is very trustworthy and loyal to his owners and very obedient. Due to his background, he would do best in a home where someone can be patient with his transitions in new environments and give him the time to adjust for his new home. Billy Bob, male, 7 years 10 months- Billy Bob, much like a lot of us, takes a while to warm up to people. He is a little skeptical of new people and needs to be introduced several times in a gentle manner, but once you are in with Billy Bob, you are in for a load of kisses and laughs! He is a little clown who takes himself too seriously. He has had exponential growth in the past year but will still take a patient and understanding adopter who is ready to earn his trust and be an advocate for him in the world. He would do best in a quiet low traffic home. Kids make him very nervous along with anything else that is unpredictable. However he is highly intelligent, and learns easily. Once you are his friend, he loves to hang out on the couch with you and also go for walks and play with toys. We have not been able to acclimate Billy Bob to any dogs here at the shelter but was in a foster home with two other dogs who he loved and would even snuggle and nap with on the couch so we know that it is possible for him.
