Story
Meet Noodle!! Noodle is just a young pup, who was found in a ditch along the side of the road. He was so skinny and sick that he had to start a refeed program eating tiny bits every few hours. But with LOTS of love and food and more love he is READY for a family who will love him forever! He is good with people, and dogs. Crate trained. Noodle went from a starving dog with ticks to a lovely trusting boy who loves to snuggle and play! Now he just needs a new family to grow and be happy forever!

Story
Jarvis has a sad history - his owner died of cancer and none of the family could take him. Jarvis, born in November 2019, is a sweet and loving boy. He has started getting his energy and personality back after grieving for his owner. He loves to run and play and have scratches behind his ears, but he REALLY loves to play ball! Jarvis is a loyal boy and will be a perfect companion for nearly any family or person. Come and take Jarvis for a walk and get to know him, then take him home! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only. If you have any questions feel free to send us an email at freeborncohumanesociety@gmail.com, send us a message on Facebook, or call or text 507-377-8501.

Story
Are you looking for a go-with-the-flow, adorable and snuggly best friend to add to your family? Look no further, Robin (aka “Miss Honey”) is the gal for you! Things about me you might like to know: Breed: Sharpei/Terrier Mix Color: Tan/Black Size: 45 pounds Age: Approximately 3 years Activity level: Low/Medium Things I do in my free time: I am a pretty chill girl, I spend most of my day relaxing. I am easily entertained watching the squirrels run along the fence in the yard or chillin’ on the porch in the sun. Content chewing on a Kong or chew bone. The more indestructible the better. Things I know: I know how to sit for treats. I have basic house manners, and I respond well if I am corrected. Things I am working on: I could use basic training. I am learning not to jump on my human friends when I meet them. I am also learning that I do not have to lick my  human friends when I get excited. I need help realizing that the vacuum is not my enemy, I do try to go after it. For the most part my foster mom thinks I am pretty close to perfection. Kennel: I currently stay in a gated room at times when my foster family is at work. I love to sleep on my big cozy doggie bed. Word of warning, I do like to chew the stuffing out of toys and dog beds. As long as the dog bed has a blanket over it I will leave it alone. I am not kenneled at night. Potty training: Bonus! I am 100% potty trained. The home I am currently in uses a fenced yard. Kids: I currently am in a house with two older teenagers. Older respectful children would be fine for me. Dogs: I currently live in a house with on middle aged large breed male dog. I would be fine living with or without another dog. Cats: Unknown Car Rides: I am a great passenger, no car sickness for me. I love to ride in the passenger seat with my doggie seatbelt! Walking: I do great on leash. I do pull if I see a squirrel. I would love a walk a day, although there have been days when my foster mom is busy and I get along fine without it. She just makes sure I get some good play time outside. What to expect when you adopt me: You can expect to spend your days with a loyal, super cute best friend. Transitioning into my forever home should be smooth sailing! Additional information: I came to Minnesota from Texas. I was stuck in a shelter with 24 hours left of my life. Some amazing people knew that I was a very good girl and worked hard to get me out of the shelter into rescue. Thanks to “Spots Last Stop Canine Rescue” I am getting the chance to find my furever home. If you would like to meet Robin, please visit spotslaststop.org and fill out an application.
