Story
This cute little man is Charlie, and he is hoping to land himself a forever family he can call his own! Charlie is the last (but certainly not the least ) of mama Trynn’s litter available for adoption, and is a sibling to Caleb, Connie, and Courtney. Trynn is a brindle pittie mix of sorts (we’ll post her photo in the comments), but unfortunately we aren’t sure who Charlie’s daddy is. He and his siblings came to Wisconsin [with their mom] after being raised at a vet clinic, where they were very loved and cared for! Charlie is now between 12-13 weeks old, and weighs right around 15lbs. He is still a skinny-minnie, and his foster family is working to get him to gain a few well-needed pounds! He is a super, SUPER snuggly boy. Cuddles are his most favorite thing ever! He is continuing to work through his potty-training; he does well when provided a solid schedule, but will need consistency from his forever family to help him fully master his housebreaking skills. Charlie is not yet a major fan of his kennel, but adjusts after a bit of time + plenty of positive reinforcement. He just loves his people so much he’d rather be where they are! He does phenomenally with other dogs; he’d adore another pup in his forever home to play with + learn from. He’s also young enough to introduce to cats successfully. And he’s kid-friendly! He’s a sweetheart with endless potential…and we can’t wait to see him in the most perfect home. Just ask for Charlie! APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!)  **Charlie’s $250 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccines to date, and microchip. ##1983306##

Story
Reign’s foster family is heading out of town at the end of the month, and rather than moving Reign to another foster home…we’d LOVE to see her find her adoptive family (& Reign is crossing her paws, too!). Reign (female) is a lovely lady who only knew of a life in the presence of her siblings (Bella, Baldy, Heart Lee, & Loki) until a short time ago. Therefore everything that other pups are typically exposed to at a very young age — walks on leash, car rides, outside adventures, vet visits, etc. — are all new to her. Reign’s foster family has made enormous strides in showing her “how to dog,” and she’s come SO far in just a few short weeks! We are so proud of her and her progress, which we know her forever family will continue to witness when showing this girl a great amount of patience, safety, and endless love. ‍ Reign is 7 months old, and is an American Staffordshire terrier. She weighs-in right around 40-45lbs, and does still have a little bit of growing to do! Reign is doing a wonderful job with her housebreaking; although a bit of transition time is expected when moving to a new home, she is pretty much completely potty-trained! Reign and her siblings were never crated, so she did take a bit to adapt to being kenneled…but is a champ and has adjusted quite quickly. Although she much prefers to be by her humans, she will kennel-up willingly (and quietly ) when asked! Reign especially loves other doggie friends, and we’d really prefer that she have another pup in her forever home. She tends to take the lead of other dogs, and we know another pup-mate would help her excel + boost her confidence daily. Reign also LOVES her people – both big and small! She’d be wonderful with kiddos, pending they’re old enough to understand and acclimate to her shyness. She is still afraid of new situations, but will warm up to new people (& new dogs) pretty quickly. Reign’s forever family will need to be patient with her as she continues to learn and come out of her shell. She truly is SUCH a honey! She wants nothing more than close cuddles [with her people and/or pup friends ], cozy blankets, tasty treats, and some fun dog toys! She’s also a great listener and attentive to her humans and their guidance/correction. As of right now, we can’t guarantee how Reign would be with kitties…but she’s such a cuddle-bug that we think she’d snuggle up with cats if they’d allow her to! Therefore we’d venture to say she’d do ok with dog-savvy cats. This girl is simply as sweet and as snuggly as they come…and she’s ready for adoption as soon as TODAY! Don’t miss out on all of her sweetness; apply now – just ask for Reign!  APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!)  **Reign’s $250 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines to date, and microchip. ##2020055##

Story
Bella Boo! This BEAUTIFUL babe is a long-haired American Staffordshire terrier who is now ready for a forever family she’s able to call her own! Bella (female) was born on 9/3/23, so is just under 8 months old. She weighs-in right around 45lbs. She is sweet, gentle, fun, and as fluffy as can be! Bella does well with all 3 of her foster family’s dogs…and all are different sizes + have different personalities. She has learned so much from them, and accepts their correction well! She has also done AMAZING with the resident kitty. She’s a friend to all! Bella minds her own business when it comes to food. She has wonderful manners when her humans are eating, and doesn’t tend to bother other dogs during their feeding time. She’s currently working on things like recall, learning to sit, and some other basic commands! Prior to Bella’s arrival, she had absolutely zero exposure to walking on-leash. She was terrified of it at first, but now gets excited when she sees her collar/leash out…as she now LOVES walks! She may come off a little shy as the walk starts out, but adapts quickly and truly enjoys them. Bella is completely potty-trained (with some transition time to be expected in a new home, of course!). She can be a little bit particular about where she does her business, but we all have our quirks! Bella LOVES giving kisses and cuddling! She is gentle and kind to everyone she meets, and loved the younger kids she met. She wanted to just keep following them around! Bella is still learning that car rides can be fun. Since she had likely never ridden in a car prior to joining the New Leash crew, she can be pretty hesitant to get into the car. Sometimes she has to be picked up, but with treats + plenty of reinforcement…she is learning to associate rides with positive, fun adventures! Bella also does have kennel anxiety, so does require a more durable, sturdy crate. She is on some anxiety meds to assist her [in not stressing herself out] while she’s crated, but we are hopeful that as she adjusts to understanding that she is safe & warm (even while kenneled!)…she can slowly be weaned off of her meds! She’ll need a patient family to help her through this; but she’s SUCH a good girl, we promise she’s worth the little bit of extra effort! She will make the perfect addition to any home…& would truly love having another dog in her forever home, as they really help her learn + build the extra confidence she is so in-need of! If you think she sounds like the one for you, please apply + reach out via private message. Just ask for Bella! APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!)  **Bella’s $250 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines to date, heartworm test, and microchip. ##2040919##
