Story
Meet Nessie! Nessie is a 4-month-old bundle of happiness with a bubbly personality and a heart full of love. She is incredibly sweet and absolutely adores people and other dogs...everyone is her friend! She greets life with a wagging tail and a big smile, and she’s always so happy. Nessie is crate trained and potty trained, and she’s already learning her manners. She can sit and shake like a little pro. She loves toys, snacks, and giving kisses (she’s a big licker!), and she’s always ready to play or cuddle. She’s still working on her cat skills, as she tends to want to chase, but with continued training and guidance, she’s making progress. If you’re looking for a joyful, affectionate puppy who will fill your home with laughter, kisses, and love, Nessie is ready to be your new best friend! 🐾 Apply to adopt Nessie at www.tailsofhopewi.org! Story
I am Rocket! I am a 2 and a half year old Boxer. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, neutered, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Friendly, Curious, Playful Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I am a big, sweet man. An absolute beefcake of a man, while I am very stubborn, my love of people is more than enough to make up for it. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 7/10 Housetraining Status: While I dont have any accidents at the shelter, there may be a few accidents in my new home while I get use to our new routine together! I should do well in a home: I should do well with kids of any age given proper supervision. My freinds at the shelter are unsure how I would do with cats in the home. While I do like other dogs at daycare and outside of the home, I would do best as the only dog in the house as I dont like to share my space. My favorite activities are: People watching, getting buttscratches, and sitting with my favorite people. Things I need work on are: I do need to lose some weight, and I need to know my basic commands. Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: N/A Daycare Status: N/A My adoption fee is: $300 Training Requirement if applicable: N/A *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Atlas - Energetic, snuggly 8 month old looking for his soulmate   In his short life Atlas has been bounced around a lot. Recently, he has been learning a lot including confidence and trust in his humans. It took Atlas about a month to decompress at his current foster home so he will require patience, trust, and a lot of positive reinforcement. He has so much love to give we know it’ll be worth it! He's so eager to please his humans in the house and will need to be supervised, corrected (when necessary), and given positive reinforcement for him to be a successful dog. He response well to a confident human so an experienced owner is recommended for Atlas. Atlas will require a slow introduction to other dogs as he doesn't like them in his face right when they meet (As is common in many dogs). After 10-15 minutes, when he’s comfortable, he will initiate play.  Atlas does enjoy wrestling with his 3 foster fur siblings, however, it will take him a while to adjust to not only a new doggie friend, but also a new routine and new home environment.  He loves to chase, wrestle, and howl when he's ready to play. Atlas can get a little jealous when the other dogs try to snuggle with his foster mom, but he takes corrects well and backs off. He loves women and loves his current foster dad, but sometimes, he is fearful of other men. He has been going out in public stores and working on his confidence. He loves getting treats from new friends, so we highly encourage his new family to continue doing that for positive experiences.  Atlas has been working very hard on his manners with the resident kitty. It took him a few weeks to understand he can't play with the cat whenever he wants. He is allowing the kitty to walk around the house without trying to chase her. He will do best with a dog savy cat or a home without a kitty friend.  Atlas is also working hard on his manners! He sits and waits until the food bowl is on the ground. He is also learning sit and wait hand signals and knows lay down. He take treats nicely, but if he gets a little too excited, he knows "nice". Atlas has great recall. He is such a human pleaser that he doesn't like to go far from them. He LOVES fetch! He loved all the toys but loves playing fetch. He will bring the ball back and drop it without you needing to tell him.  crate trained but is a big fan of cuddling with his humans Potty trained but it’s common for dogs especially ones who have been bounced around to need an adjustment period so he may have initial accidents in a new home okay with kids who are calmer and let him come on his terms but with a dog that is more on the shy/scared side, he needs to build trust with everyone he meets so we recommend no kids under 8.  loves being told when hes a "good boy". If you’re interested in adopting Atlas, and are Pre-approved, please private message us, or APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!) **Atlas’s  $250 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccines to date, heartworm test, current vet check, and microchip. ##2302886##

Story
Miller is currently housed at Rochester Animal Control- please apply online and PCHS staff will be in touch to set up an appointmemt to meet him! Meet Miller! He and his brother, Stephan, went on an unauthorized jaunt around town when they were picked up and taken in to Rochester Animal Control. Their owners were located, but ultimatly decided that they were unable to keep them any longer. They were released to Rochester Animal Control and now are on the look out for their forever homes! While these boys do get along, they don`t need to be adopted to the same home. Miller is larger than his brother, and is the more dominant of the two. Stephan and Miller have both lived with other dogs in tehpast, and have done well. Both are goofy and happy boys who would love to find active families to enjoy life with! Miller is around 2 years old and would benefit from getting some basic training to help hone in on his manners, and help him build his confidence.
