Story
Atlas - Energetic, snuggly 8 month old looking for his soulmate   In his short life Atlas has been bounced around a lot. Recently, he has been learning a lot including confidence and trust in his humans. It took Atlas about a month to decompress at his current foster home so he will require patience, trust, and a lot of positive reinforcement. He has so much love to give we know it’ll be worth it! He's so eager to please his humans in the house and will need to be supervised, corrected (when necessary), and given positive reinforcement for him to be a successful dog. He response well to a confident human so an experienced owner is recommended for Atlas. Atlas will require a slow introduction to other dogs as he doesn't like them in his face right when they meet (As is common in many dogs). After 10-15 minutes, when he’s comfortable, he will initiate play.  Atlas does enjoy wrestling with his 3 foster fur siblings, however, it will take him a while to adjust to not only a new doggie friend, but also a new routine and new home environment.  He loves to chase, wrestle, and howl when he's ready to play. Atlas can get a little jealous when the other dogs try to snuggle with his foster mom, but he takes corrects well and backs off. He loves women and loves his current foster dad, but sometimes, he is fearful of other men. He has been going out in public stores and working on his confidence. He loves getting treats from new friends, so we highly encourage his new family to continue doing that for positive experiences.  Atlas has been working very hard on his manners with the resident kitty. It took him a few weeks to understand he can't play with the cat whenever he wants. He is allowing the kitty to walk around the house without trying to chase her. He will do best with a dog savy cat or a home without a kitty friend.  Atlas is also working hard on his manners! He sits and waits until the food bowl is on the ground. He is also learning sit and wait hand signals and knows lay down. He take treats nicely, but if he gets a little too excited, he knows "nice". Atlas has great recall. He is such a human pleaser that he doesn't like to go far from them. He LOVES fetch! He loved all the toys but loves playing fetch. He will bring the ball back and drop it without you needing to tell him.  crate trained but is a big fan of cuddling with his humans Potty trained but it’s common for dogs especially ones who have been bounced around to need an adjustment period so he may have initial accidents in a new home okay with kids who are calmer and let him come on his terms but with a dog that is more on the shy/scared side, he needs to build trust with everyone he meets so we recommend no kids under 8.  loves being told when hes a "good boy". If you’re interested in adopting Atlas, and are Pre-approved, please private message us, or APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!) **Atlas’s  $250 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccines to date, heartworm test, current vet check, and microchip. ##2302886##

MEET COOPER Zoomies champion. Professional snuggler. Certified heart-melter. Cooper is a tiny tornado of FUN who lives life in two speeds: full-throttle play mode and curled-up cuddle potato. This handsome brindle boy LOVES to run, chase toys, and zoom around the yard like he’s training for the Puppy Olympics. But once his energy tank hits empty, he transforms into the sweetest little nap bug who either snuggles up with his humans or tucks himself neatly into his kennel for a recharge. Yes, he literally puts himself to bed. Icon behavior. Why everyone falls for Cooper: Fantastic with dogs, cats, AND kids Doing AMAZING with house training Quiet and happy in his kennel overnight Plays independently and loves toys Learning fetch and already lightning fast Food-motivated and eager to learn Total human magnet who wants to be part of everything you do He may start off a bit shy with new dog friends, but give him a minute and he’s off to the races, happily playing and zooming alongside them. He truly thrives with a furry playmate! At about 4 months old and 12 to 15 pounds, Cooper is thought to be a boxer/pit mix, but one thing is certain: he is 100 percent pure joy wrapped in a brindle coat. Adoption Fee: $250 Includes neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccines, and current vet check. Message us if pre-approved OR apply now at: newleashdogrescue.com If your home could use more laughter, more cuddles, and a daily dose of zoomies, Cooper is ready to sprint straight into your heart. ##2659497##

Story
Meet Penelope 💕 Penelope is an approximately one-year-old Boxer mix who was found wandering the streets of San Antonio, and she’s so ready for her fresh start. This sweet girl has been fully vetted — spayed, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and vaccinated — and now all she needs is a family to call her own. Penelope is on the shy side at first, but she’s blossoming more every single day. Once she feels safe, her affectionate nature shines. She absolutely loves to cuddle and be close to her people. Her favorite place is right next to you — leaning gently against your legs or curled up beside you on the couch. And when she’s around her people? Her tail wags so fast it’s practically a blur. She weighs about 50 pounds, but her short little legs give her the cutest, slightly compact look. She walks nicely on a leash, is crate trained, and is potty trained — such a good girl. Penelope is okay with other dogs, though she can get overwhelmed and nervous in busy situations. She would likely do best in a calm, patient home that will continue building her confidence. She hasn’t shown much reaction to cats so far, though she has recently become interested in outdoor critters, so her full personality in that regard is still unfolding. Penelope is simply happy to be part of a family. After surviving on her own, she treasures being indoors, safe, and loved. With a little patience and reassurance, this gentle girl will reward you with unwavering loyalty, soft cuddles, and the happiest little tail wags you’ve ever seen. Story
Luke is a super chill dude who is looking for a soft place to land. Until recently, his happy days were simple and full of love. He spent his time hanging on the couch with his mom, going for car rides around town, and taking slow strolls through the neighborhood while sniffing every smell along the way. Those were his favorite things. Then one day, his mama went to the hospital and did not come home. She is now in a nursing home, and Luke is understandably sad and confused. His whole world changed overnight. What has not changed is what a good boy he is. Luke is an almost 9 year old, neutered male chocolate Lab Boxer mix who is up to date on his vaccines. He is calm, sensitive, and incredibly in tune with his people. If you are feeling under the weather or just having a hard day, Luke will be right there with you. He has a quiet way of showing up that makes you feel less alone. He does okay with kids but truly prefers a more laidback home. Loud, chaotic environments are not his style. He thrives with calm energy, cozy couches, and people who appreciate a slower pace. He gets along well with other dogs and has even lived peacefully with dogs who do not always play nicely with others. He is not looking for drama. He is looking for companionship. Luke would love a home where he can: • Relax on the couch • Go for easy, sniff filled walks • Ride shotgun on car trips • Maybe share your bed, although that might be negotiable He has already loved deeply once in his life. Now he just needs someone willing to love him again. Adoption fee is $350+tax, please apply at www.campcompanion.org
