Story
Atlas - Energetic, snuggly 8 month old looking for his soulmate   In his short life Atlas has been bounced around a lot. Recently, he has been learning a lot including confidence and trust in his humans. It took Atlas about a month to decompress at his current foster home so he will require patience, trust, and a lot of positive reinforcement. He has so much love to give we know it’ll be worth it! He's so eager to please his humans in the house and will need to be supervised, corrected (when necessary), and given positive reinforcement for him to be a successful dog. He response well to a confident human so an experienced owner is recommended for Atlas. Atlas will require a slow introduction to other dogs as he doesn't like them in his face right when they meet (As is common in many dogs). After 10-15 minutes, when he’s comfortable, he will initiate play.  Atlas does enjoy wrestling with his 3 foster fur siblings, however, it will take him a while to adjust to not only a new doggie friend, but also a new routine and new home environment.  He loves to chase, wrestle, and howl when he's ready to play. Atlas can get a little jealous when the other dogs try to snuggle with his foster mom, but he takes corrects well and backs off. He loves women and loves his current foster dad, but sometimes, he is fearful of other men. He has been going out in public stores and working on his confidence. He loves getting treats from new friends, so we highly encourage his new family to continue doing that for positive experiences.  Atlas has been working very hard on his manners with the resident kitty. It took him a few weeks to understand he can't play with the cat whenever he wants. He is allowing the kitty to walk around the house without trying to chase her. He will do best with a dog savy cat or a home without a kitty friend.  Atlas is also working hard on his manners! He sits and waits until the food bowl is on the ground. He is also learning sit and wait hand signals and knows lay down. He take treats nicely, but if he gets a little too excited, he knows "nice". Atlas has great recall. He is such a human pleaser that he doesn't like to go far from them. He LOVES fetch! He loved all the toys but loves playing fetch. He will bring the ball back and drop it without you needing to tell him.  crate trained but is a big fan of cuddling with his humans Potty trained but it’s common for dogs especially ones who have been bounced around to need an adjustment period so he may have initial accidents in a new home okay with kids who are calmer and let him come on his terms but with a dog that is more on the shy/scared side, he needs to build trust with everyone he meets so we recommend no kids under 8.  loves being told when hes a "good boy". Story
***Miller is now at the Paws and Claws Facility**Miller was released to Animal Control with another boxer after being found out wandering on their own. They both were eventually released to Animal Control and now Miller is looking for his forever home. Typical of his breed, Miller is an energetic boy. He was adopted once and returned. It was reported that he was jumping up on his owner and had some separation anxiety. He would do well at a home where he gets plenty of physical and mental stimulation. Formal training could help Miller learn to keep “four on the floor.“He’s a very affectionate dog. While Miller has gotten along with other dogs in the past, he would need to meet a potential canine housemate to ensure that they could be friends. Miller knows some basic commands and is house trained. He is up-to-date on all of his vetting and is neutered. If you are interested in meeting Miller, apply online, and we will set up a time to meet with one of the officers.*Applications for adoption can be found on the homepage of the website.**Adoption fee: $350 + $30 microchip fee + tax

Story
Kiefer is a stunning young Boxer with a heart full of love and so much to offer. He’s playful, affectionate, and incredibly loyal—your perfect sidekick for snuggles and companionship. Once he trusts you, he’ll stick by your side like a shadow and melt into your arms at every opportunity. He is potty trained, does fine with cats, and is thriving in structured environment. Kiefer is smart, sensitive, strong, sassy, and eager to bond deeply with his people. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to love and be loved in return. Kiefer does need an experienced adopter or someone familiar with the boxer breed. He does resource guard food and other high value items. He does have some separation anxiety and would do best with someone who can be home more frequently than not. Kiefer does fine with children but often forgets his size so would do best with older kids. Apply at www.campcompanion.org Adoption fee is $350 plus tax.
