Story
Meet Cyrus, the delightful  Staffordshire Terrier Mini Australian Shepherd mix born 4/30/23 and weighing in at 50 pounds. Cyrus is a clever and potty-trained pup, always eager to learn new tricks for a tasty treat.  Cyrus's unique blend of breeds brings together the agility of an Australian Shepherd and the charm of a Staffordshire Terrier, making him the perfect companion for both shopping sprees and cozy evenings at home.Although initially reserved, once he trusts you, he transforms into a Velcro dog, sticking by your side with unwavering loyalty.  Cyrus was one of nine puppies born to Mama Ember who was brought to Nebraska after being dumped in the country in Oklahoma, she made it here just in time to deliver her babies in the safety of her foster home. There were some complications due to a breech puppy and Ember ended up being rushed to the vet for an emergency c-section for the delivery of her last two pups. Her breech baby didn’t make it but the remaining nine babies are thriving under her care! The suggested adoption fee for Cyrus is $365. Bullies-N-Beyond ResQ is a non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR are adopted with DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already spayed or neutered if old enough, or a voucher will be provided once the dog becomes of age. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. All available dogs are adopted based on their needs to provide the best fit home. ##1713591##

Story
🎶 Baby ba-LUDO, oh baby ba-LUDO 🎶 Let's start with the basics: Ludo is a 6 month old English Bulldog. He has the normal EB traits: hes wrinkly, stubborn, adorable, stubborn, loving, food motivated and ... Stubborn. And I love him. Now for the not so good things about Ludo. Ludo has a heart condition called a TET. He was born with it and it's not going anywhere. Scary right? But the good news is his heart figured out a way to deal with it for right now. What does this mean for Ludo's life? We just don't know. Dr. Christensen (cardiologist) assured us that there's no way to predict what might happen, but with regular echocardiograms, bloodwork Ludo could live a very normal life. Ludo also has hyperextending front "wrists" and a luxating patella on the back right that will need correcting at some point. As of today, we've fixed his nasal passages, corrected his soft palate, and have him all up to date on vaccines, microchip and neuter. Whew. If you're still here let's keep talking. He's the sweetest boy. He loves chewing on all the toys and some not toys, is working diligently on potty training, has dreams of one day doing pedicures for a living (seriously, the boys got a foot fetish) So what we're looking for in Ludo's forever home is this: he requires someone who will maintain him at a healthy weight (too much weight bad for the heart and legs), someone who is willing to take him in for annual blood draws to make sure labs are looking good regarding his heart, possible annual visits to the cardiologist, watch over him while it's cold outside and makes sure he poops OUTSIDE and the biggest one, someone who's ok with me, Sara-Friend, staying in Ludo's life. We are limiting applications to Lincoln and Omaha at this time :) Apply at thephoenixremixrescue.com to take Ludo home today!

Story
Sadie Boxer Spayed female 8 years old, 50 pounds Sweet-natured indoors and game for adventure outside, Sadie is a great fit for a moderately active home -- whether you’re an individual, a couple, or a family, but we do feel she would thrive as the only pet. This Boxer loves couch cuddles, porch snoozes, backyard ball time and neighborhood strolls. Ask if she wants to go outside and she comes alive, spinning in happy circles with a little excited whine. She’s good with kids and has done well with a kindergarten-aged neighbor and her foster’s young teen. She likes a slow hello with new people; give her a moment to settle and, once she feels safe, she’s your buddy. Sadie is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained, though she feels nervous confined in a crate; she has free-roamed for up to four hours with no mischief. Her foster works from home, so she goes outside several times a day. On walks she can be protective and may bark or growl at passersby, but her foster is working to soften that tendency. With some missing teeth, she eats water-softened kibble in three small meals, which has helped her weight. Since she can fixate on squirrels, cats and some dogs, a secure, taller privacy fence is preferred for Sadie to live her best life. If this description sounds like a good fit, please consider completing our online application.
