Story
Are you in the market for a silly girl who will provide you with entertainment, cuddles, adventure and lots of joy? Look no further than our sweet Maggie! She is a real hoot, loves to strike various poses to show her "sophisicated" side, but will also expose all her lady parts with no shame (ha!). Her sleeping positions are quite interesting, but hey, whatever works, right? She's just happy to have a softy, comfy bed/couch/pillow! She LOVES car rides and has done her best to convince us she has an official driver's license (lookout! she WILL try to get in your lap as you're headed down the highway!). She is highly motivated to please, is smart as a whip, but a bit stubborn (what lady isn't?!). She can be a bit choosy about who her dogs friends are and doesn't appreciate a dominant dog. She's a modern gal who would like to be in charge, thank you very much. She is currently fostering with another female and is getting along just fine. She loves people of all ages and will insist that she have the best spot in your bed when nightime rolls around. Maggie is a determined girl who has overcome the odds after being confiscated from her owners by law enforcement for animal neglect, then a stay that was more than a year long in a rural Missouri shelter. The kennel she was in was so small and she was doing her best to show a happy face to potential adopters, to the point she wagged her tail so much against the walls it had to be partially amputated. She previously lived with 4 other dogs who were also seized and sadly remain in that shelter. Maggie holds no ill will towards humans, remarkably, and is an absolute delight to be around! We have promised Maggie she will never again experience neglect or heartache. If you would like to add this charming lady to your life, she will reward you with doggy kisses and (half) tail wags! Maggie is a female Boxer/mix who was was born approximately 6-28-20 and weighs 55 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested heartworm negative and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. Story
Zowie is a fun loving lady looking for her forever home! She would do best in an active household where she would get daily exercise and help her in shedding some pounds. Zowie loves to play with other dogs her size, though she has a bit of a prey drive and would do best in a feline free home as she thinks cats and potentially small dogs are fun to chase. Zowie would make a great adventure partner for any family! If your interested in meeting this gal, come in today! Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 66 Age: 6yrs 2mths 1wks

Story
Zeus is a sweet boy. He truly just wants love but won't ask for it. He likes treats, but doesn't have interest in chewing or playing with toys. He likes going to the river and lake, riding in vehicles and trucks, and hanging out. He may seem grumpy at first, but definitely warms up quickly once he knows he is safe. We got Zeus when he was 6 months old, but he was abused by his previous owners. With that said, I feel his trust issues stem from that part of his life. He does not like fireworks and loud noises. He does deal with kids great because he is so calm and grew up with 2 kids. He likes to have a specific place to sleep that is as big and soft as possible. He's a lover, end of story. I want him to enjoy his last years doing what he loves ❤️ with people who love him

Story
I’ve had Penelope since she was 10 weeks old, she is now 2. Her birthday 9/9/22. She’s fully grown and 48lb. She’s a snuggly bug full of character who keeps us laughing. Penelope is smart and loves to learn, she picks up on training and tricks very quickly. She’s has had basic training classes and is AKC star puppy certified. We have two other dogs and she struggles with guarding toys so she needs a single dog home. She’s also nervous around children. She loves being outside, nose to the ground and exploring. Penelope also loves a good nap and will happily snuggle up in a blanket for a long afternoon snooze. I would say she’s medium-low energy. She likes to talk and will use her voice with grumbles and all kinds of noise to tell you what she’s thinking. To be clear: she’s nervous with kids, not aggressive. She likes other dogs, but deals with guarding so being in a single dog home would be best for her. She’s never seen a cat

Story
Sirobi is 4 years old her birthday is February 6th. The reason for rehoming is because we also have her sibling and they do not get along. Her brothers is extremely aggressive and has attacked her on numerous occasions so for her best interest we are looking for a loving single pet home. She does amazing with kids as she grew up around them. She is potty trained but still has accidents from time to time. We don’t know how she will react with other animals as she has shown aggression towards other dogs but there have also been times where she has played with other dogs and was fine. She does show toy aggression signs to other animals but never to humans.

Story
Trooper is a 12 week old American pitbull terrier. Hes working on potty training, and does great at night in his kennel! (Never had an accident) I got him from a family in Nora nebraska, thinking I'd have all the time in the world to work with and train him. Unfortunately I need to up hours at work and I'd feel it best Trooper be with a family who can 100% focus on his training. He's so adorable and I know he will be an amazing addition to someone's family 💚

Story
How awesome would it be to come home to the happiest dog waiting at the door for you with his cutest dog smile?! Wheezy Bear has shown great improvement in his health since his rescue foster placement and he loves getting outdoors to work out his improved lungs and loosened joints. Although 8 years old he can race with the best of them on his really good days and loves greeting all humans. That greeting includes licks aka loves! He has taken to being house trained quickly and now does his business outside proudly while learning habits from the other dogs to go to the door and peek out while waiting and looking at you! “Come on my human, let me out!” And while he came to us malnourished, he has gained back his healthy weight and loves his food dish. His new friend pups in his foster home know to give him space when he has food in his dish. They eat separately and he respects their space as well. And although he would eat theirs too, he is kept on a regular feeding schedule as he will eat himself sick. Treats tie him over between eatings and peanut butter treats call his name over others! He does get protective of his humans when they have food as well so we set him up to be successful with his feedings at the same time. Outside of loving his food and his new friends, he loves playing with his basketball and chewing on his bones and noisy toys. On occasion, he and one of his fur friends engage in a great game of tug and war with the dog rope toy. Undoubtably is a lover and wants to be sure you feel loved too from giving the best head hug to cuddling right next to you on the couch. He will steal your heart with the best handshake, so be ready for your love to start from first site of his big pup smile! This boy had a terrible life prior to being rescue. He was banished to the outdoors in the frigid winter, and scathing heat in the summer. His entire lonely existence was inside a pen (see photo of his previous life). He developed bronchitis that had been plaguing him for probably months, exacerbated by the harsh bitter temps. A kind soul finally convinced his owners to surrender him because his cough had gotten so severe. Previous records say his name is "Beast" and is 8 yrs old, but the vet thinks he is older. We gave him a new name which is now "Wheezy Bear". He is gentle, calm, and one of the saddest dogs we'd ever met when he arrived. He had simply given up hope that he would ever be loved or treated with dignity. We shared his story to our foster group and asked if there was anyone would could take mercy on this poor boy. An amazing family stepped right up and offered to give him refuge. He is LOVING life as an indoor dog and has even learned how fun toys can be! He is soaking up all the love in his foster home and is absolutely thriving! He is now ready for the next chapter of his life where he will be the spoiled prince of his very own castle with a family to call his own. Wheezy Bear is a male Pitbull Terrier who was born approximately 2-4-16. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and started on heartworm prevention. He has chronic coughing due to neglect and going for years with repeated bouts of bronchitis while with his former owner. The cough is managed and treated with medication to keep it at bay as much as possible. Wheezy Bear also has arthritis and has stiffness in his gait, likely due to the neglect he suffered prior to being rescued. Joint supplements are helpful for him and should be continued. Adoption fee is $200 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
