Story
Nevaeh was my dog's puppy she was born in March last yr she's 15 months old. She's very friendly, hyper, good with other animals, she's very playful she comes to her name. I no longer can keep her where I am I will be moving. I have 2 other dogs already to have to figure everything out with. She is crate trained she sleeps in one at night. She will need updated skills for training I'm not around enough and no one gives her attention. I do not like having her in a crate at night and on a chain throughout the day. She has never bitten anyone unless she was playing.i just need her to go to a loving home with someone who can give her the attention a pup needs.

Story
Ophelia is a very special dog here at Rosebud Rescue and has been with us for over a year while we worked with her, and she is finally ready to find her perfect forever home. Ophelia is 100% deaf and because of this will ONLY be available on a foster-to-adopt basis for a minimum of 3 months to ensure it is the perfect fit. Ophelia is around 3.5 years old and just under 50lbs. She can be a tiny bit shy at first but will smother you in kisses in no time! She loves attention, toys, and playing with other dogs, but will mirror them and match their energy level. She is incredibly smart and knows several hand signals for training commands, and really loves it when you find ways to communicate with her! She is trained to report to you with the flash of a light, so recall from the yard or other side of the room is a breeze. She cannot live with cats or uncaged small animals due to her prey drive. She is crate trained but can be a bit vocal and would rather be confined to a room when left, though she doesn't have a tendency to get into things she shouldn't have. Ophelia has a history of getting overstimulated in new situations, which turned into anxious energy and an unfocused dog. She was recently started on generic Prozac and it has really helped to manage this. It is affordable and easy to administer, a potential adopter would need to keep her on this medication. While adventures outside of the house are still a work in progress, she has made a lot of improvement over the last 2 months or so! She does walk on a gentle leader, but is a VERY strong dog so someone who can handle her weight while out and about and continue working on loose leash walking is a must. We know little about Ophelia's past other than it appears she had many litters of puppies in her short life before she got to us. It is unknown if her missing ear was due to an injury or a failed crop job. She will cower if you move too fast or pick up an object, leading us to believe she wasn't treated very well. She was passed around to a few different owners before she ended up with us after seeing a plea from a good samaritan who took her in but could not keep her long term after seeing her posted on Craigslist for rehoming, with the reason that they couldn't call her in from the yard! Ophelia is looking for a home without young children due to her size and energy level. NO CATS. A fully fenced yard is required, and she thrives in the company of dogs so there must be at least another resident dog in the home. If a very special adopter with no dogs is ready for 2, she has plenty of adoptable friends here as well! Ophelia is accepting applications and is currently available for meet and greets with approved adopters! If you’re interested in adopting her or getting pre-approved for our other dogs, please fill out the adoption application at www.RosebudRescue.com/adopt

Story
Imagine finding a tiny, shivering soul, barely five weeks old, abandoned on the cold, unforgiving edge of a highway. That was Archer. He and his brother, covered in fleas and desperately malnourished, were found just in time, their fragile lives hanging in the balance. Thankfully, a loving foster family opened their hearts and home, offering them warmth, care, and a second chance. The first time his fosters took Archer and his brother into the backyard, the fear of being abandoned again was overwhelming. They ran back to their fosters, crying and shaking, a heart-wrenching reminder of their difficult start. Archer's journey has been one of resilience and transformation. He's blossomed in his foster home, surrounded by a menagerie of furry and feathered friends – dogs, cats, goats, ducks, and chickens. He's learned the joy of playful romps with big dogs, the gentle art of respecting boundaries (mostly!), and the comfort of snuggling close to a warm lap. This sweet boy, with the most endearing face you've ever seen, is a cuddle connoisseur. He'll happily settle on your lap, or as close as he can get, showering you with affection. He's a true helper, always eager to be involved in whatever you're doing. He's treat-motivated, which makes training a breeze, though he might need some guidance to remember that everyone has their own food bowl! Archer is kennel trained, but he's used to a bustling household filled with love and activity. He sleeps with a pillow, often burrowing under blankets, and he cherishes the feeling of being held close – a comfort he discovered as a tiny, vulnerable pup. Now, at about five months old and 40 pounds, Archer is growing into a big, strong boy, but his heart remains as tender as ever. He's searching for a forever home where he can share his boundless love and loyalty. He'd thrive with a family who understands his gentle nature, continues his training, and cherishes his affectionate spirit. Archer's journey began in hardship, but his story is one of hope and the enduring power of love. Will you be the one to write the next chapter of his happy ever after? Will not thrive or do well in an apartment.
