Story
Ophelia is a very special dog here at Rosebud Rescue and has been with us for over a year while we worked with her, and she is finally ready to find her perfect forever home. Ophelia is 100% deaf and because of this will ONLY be available on a foster-to-adopt basis for a minimum of 3 months to ensure it is the perfect fit. Ophelia is around 3.5 years old and just under 50lbs. She can be a tiny bit shy at first but will smother you in kisses in no time! She loves attention, toys, and playing with other dogs, but will mirror them and match their energy level. She is incredibly smart and knows several hand signals for training commands, and really loves it when you find ways to communicate with her! She is trained to report to you with the flash of a light, so recall from the yard or other side of the room is a breeze. She cannot live with cats or uncaged small animals due to her prey drive. She is crate trained but can be a bit vocal and would rather be confined to a room when left, though she doesn't have a tendency to get into things she shouldn't have. Ophelia has a history of getting overstimulated in new situations, which turned into anxious energy and an unfocused dog. She was recently started on generic Prozac and it has really helped to manage this. It is affordable and easy to administer, a potential adopter would need to keep her on this medication. While adventures outside of the house are still a work in progress, she has made a lot of improvement over the last 2 months or so! She does walk on a gentle leader, but is a VERY strong dog so someone who can handle her weight while out and about and continue working on loose leash walking is a must. We know little about Ophelia's past other than it appears she had many litters of puppies in her short life before she got to us. It is unknown if her missing ear was due to an injury or a failed crop job. She will cower if you move too fast or pick up an object, leading us to believe she wasn't treated very well. She was passed around to a few different owners before she ended up with us after seeing a plea from a good samaritan who took her in but could not keep her long term after seeing her posted on Craigslist for rehoming, with the reason that they couldn't call her in from the yard! Ophelia is looking for a home without young children due to her size and energy level. NO CATS. A fully fenced yard is required, and she thrives in the company of dogs so there must be at least another resident dog in the home. If a very special adopter with no dogs is ready for 2, she has plenty of adoptable friends here as well! Ophelia is accepting applications and is currently available for meet and greets with approved adopters! If you’re interested in adopting her or getting pre-approved for our other dogs, please fill out the adoption application at www.RosebudRescue.com/adopt

Story
Tango is one handsome dude and he is proud of it.  He is also very grateful to have been saved/rescued and in a loving foster home.  He has been a good guest and causes no problems for his foster mom. Tango is 3 years old and 60 pounds.  He was found on the streets of San Antonio and taken to our very high kill shelter.  Their faces just begged to be saved so we pulled them. His behavior and temperament has been mild and calm.  He likes to go for walks and walks well on a leash.  Tango actually wants to do whatever you want to do, he is just happy to hang around you.  We believe he would do best in a home as the only dog because he has a little temper tantrum when having to share his foster mom. Tango rides well in cars without getting car sick.  We transport across the United States.  Thank you for looking.   ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         April 16, 2024, 2:34 pm

Story
Bear is a special boy. He requires a lot of love and patience. He is still young at the age of 1.5 years old. Bear is full of energy. He loves to run, play with his hard rubber toys, and especially cuddle with his people. He is a bit clingy at first because of how much he loves being around everyone. He is excellent with other dogs and cats. He is also great with people of any age. He hasn't had much exposure to young children but I'm sure with how well he does with adults and older kids, he will do just fine with little ones. Bear is beyond adorable and looking for a more stable home right now. He will become family as soon as you meet him. He is a little love and just wants the perfect home. Unfortunately due to our situation, our landlord is now requesting that no dogs to be allowed in the apartments. We cannot make a move right now and bear deserves the world. Give this boy a chance. You wont regret it. PS: he loves car rides and adventures wherever he goes.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, I am Suko - I may look like a baby cow, but I am 100% puppy and 100% cuteness! I am a 4-month-old terrier mix puppy. I am still learning and will need more practice with going potty outside but I am a quick learner. I don’t love getting into my crate, but I sleep in it without a peep once I am in there. I am learning to sit and love getting those things they call treats, so that helps with the learning. I love to play with all my foster siblings and don’t underestimate my little legs because I can run really quick! I love to play with toys and then sleeping soundly all night long. I am looking for my forever family, so if I sound like the girl for you apply for me today @ BuffaloCares.org. Story
This is Waffles!  Waffles was found by a good samaritan who wasn't able to find her a home. Waffles was kept safe in boarding all summer but it wasn't the right environment for her. An employee took her home and immediately noticed the positive difference in Waffle. She is a very smart, loving young dog, about a year old. She is very athletic, has a lean muscular body and the softest fur. She loves people and dogs. She is prospering in her foster home where she has dogs to match her energy and a foster family that are teaching her how to be part of a family. She isn't super kean on her kennel but is learning that it is a safe place to hang out. She likes chewing on bones and playing with toys. She has been nicknamed "Door stop" because she is always beside you when you leave a room (a behavior that she is working on). She loves to hold down the couch and if given the opportunity will gladly keep you company in bed. She redirects easily and wants to be a good girl. She is not food or toy aggressive. She has the makings to be a great family dog or outdoor partner for an active person. She just needs the right person to continue her training and development. Waffles has been spayed, is current on her vaccinations and microchipped.  Her adoption fee is $550    and includes her transportation to her new home in CT.  SHE IS IN A LOVING FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO HER NEW HOME ONCE ADOPTED!  New Beginnings Animal Rescue uses  a licensed and registered USDA transport company.      If you would like to apply to adopt Waffles, please fill out our online application here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net.  Any questions, please email us at:  newbeginnigs_animalrescue@yahoo.com.   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Say Hi to Charlie! He was found locally as a stray and not claimed by owners.    Charlie is food motivated and loves all people.  Charlie met an eight year old girl and was very appropriate - takes treats so gently! He's gentle and mellow. Charlie loves to run around outside, play with toys, and roll in the grass. Charlie also loves to give high fives! Charlie is not crate trained, but he does not need to be. He will sleep, relax, or play with his toys while you’re away. He prefers to be with his humans while they’re home. He loves to sleep on the couch or lay in the sun. Charlie is house broken and will go to the door and bark when he needs to go out.  Charlie currently would do best as the only pet in the home.  He is searching for a foster home, or better yet, his furever!
