Meet Mila ******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you area not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Mila is a spayed 3 year old female Pitbull/Staffie mix, currently weighing around 40lbs. She is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX, and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is found. Mila plays well with all dog sizes! She really enjoys playtime with the larger pups as they can keep up with her energy. She does well when meeting other dogs, but her foster notes she has a tendency to jump on her canine buddies, and some dogs may not like this. This cutie LOVES food and treats, scarfing down her own before checking to see what her foster siblings have in their bowls. She's not shown any aggression but we recommend feeding her separately just to ensure continued household harmony. Mila is smart, young and very teachable, quickly picking up on new lessons! She enjoys exploring and is super curious. Mila has not been crate trained as there is always someone home and she has access to a doggy door to come and go as she pleases. She has proven herself trustworthy to be left alone unsupervised as long as no food has been left out and the trash cans are empty. For this reason, Mila may do best in a home where someone is home more than they're away. Mila has been around her foster's young to older grandkids (1y, 10y, and preteens) and done well, not showing much interest in them. While Mila would probably be okay with kids of all ages, we generally recommend homes with children who are over the age of 10yrs, or those who are dog savvy. We do not have any history with cats. She is very people oriented and follows her Foster Mom around everywhere. She does not seem to have ever met a stranger, and gets super excited to say hello to new friends! She is affectionate and very cuddly, lying down nearby and asking for pets and kisses. Mila's ideal home would be with a moderately to very active family who has no/older kids, at least one other dog, and who wants a running partner or outdoors companion. She's still young and needs some training, but she is a very sweet girl who craves love and attention, and strives to please with lots of reassurance. If her Furever Family is patient and understanding, giving her ample time to adjust, she will be the very best girl and love you forever! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ At 7 months old and 45 pounds, Matthias is a happy, playful pup with a big heart and even bigger personality. He’s smart, curious, and affectionate — always ready for an adventure or a good snuggle once he’s tired out. Matthias loves other dogs and plays great with bigger pups. He can get a little too excited with smaller ones but is learning to be gentler. He’s cat-friendly, respectful of their space, and has been sweet around a baby in his foster home. On leash, he walks nicely after his initial burst of energy and is working on not pulling. Crate-trained and nearly housebroken, Matthias is picking things up quickly and will thrive with consistent guidance. He’d do best in an active home that can give him exercise, structure, and love — a playful dog companion would be a bonus! With a little patience and training, Matthias will grow into the loyal, fun-loving companion every family dreams of. We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Chip, 2-year-old, neutered male, Pit bull mix, 60 lbs. Chip is in a foster home in Houston, TEXAS, and can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! As sweet as a chocolate chip cookie, our lovely boy Chip is searching for his forever home! Chip is a playful, curious, and loving dog looking for an experienced adopter who can provide patience, safety, and endless love. Chip is a certified lover boy who loves to cuddle and be around his people! He’s a Velcro dog and will be your shadow everywhere you go. When he first meets new people, Chip can be a bit cautious, but once he trusts you, he’ll be your best friend forever! Chip adores his people, loves to go on sniffing walks (and does well on the leash), is crate-trained and potty-trained, and loves to be outdoors! He is also the king of costumes; he can rock any outfit and does so frequently. Chip has done well with his foster dog siblings, who are calm and enjoy his play style. Chip LOVES to play, and he plays his heart out, so we highly recommend using slow introductions to other dogs and think he would do best with more calm/submissive doggy siblings that would be happy to engage with him in his play. He would also do well as an only dog in the house if he could go on outings every so often. Chip does ask that he not live with any cats, please. Chip’s ideal humans would enjoy having him be their right-hand man, and would understand that when he’s left home alone, he can be anxious without his family. However, he has been working on his separation anxiety and can be crated when left home alone. Chip would thrive with a family that can keep up with his training, and he would love to work with you! Chip would also happily accompany you on your outings- he is thrilled to go on car rides, go on walks out and about, and see the world with his people! At home, once he has finished the initial decompression period, Chip will go full puppy mode and play with all the toys. He has also done well around older children! If you’re ready to get this happy-go-lucky, handsome man to be your forever best friend, please apply below! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DDAR/Dog ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
