Story
Ruth was picked up as a stray in Syracuse and unfortunately her family didn`t want her back. So now she`s looking for a new home! At 65 pounds, Babe Ruth, or just Ruth, is a very gentle girl who waits patiently to be leashed up for her walks with volunteers and has near perfect leash manners. She doesn`t worry herself about other dogs and just enjoys her walks. She already knows sit and shake and takes treats gently. Overall Ruth is a sweet and gentle lovebug looking to be your next family dog.

Story
9 MONTHS! Yes, 9 solid months - that is how long Ally has been waiting for her forever home!  There has got to be someone out there for this sweet girl.  Ally has recently completed a 3 week Board and Train program where she was learning how to have better impulse control and to have better communication with her human.  The trainer will work with Ally's adopter to help transition her to a new home and to teach the adopter the best way to communicate with her.  This girl is deserving of her own home.  If you are looking for a small, fun, energetic, loving pup, give Ally a chance! Meet Ally, the DEAF doggie!  (Dynamic, Energetic, Adorable, Fun!)  I actually really am deaf, but don’t let that scare you away!  I’m a typical young pup who loves people, kids, dogs, and life!  Want to play with a ball, I’m your girl!  Want to go for a run, I’d love that!  Want to snuggle on the couch, I will do that too!  I have been learning some signs for basic commands, such as sit, lie down, off, stay, and free.  I LOVE treats so that really helps with my training.  If you are willing to put in the time, there is nothing I can’t learn!  I enjoy being outside and playing with humans or dogs, but can also entertain myself for a while. I am a fast and agile girl!  If you ever wanted a dog to do agility, I’m sure I’m up for the job!  Any dogs in your home will need to be tolerant dogs, as I’m all about playing.  I prefer a physically fenced yard, as I can’t hear you call me back and may wander out of the yard.  My trainer has worked with me using an ecollar that will go with me to my forever home.  Since I was abandoned in an apartment, I need time to build up trust that you aren’t going to leave me and never come back.  I feel most comfortable when I am with my people.  I can be left in a crate, and I sleep on a dog bed at night next to my foster’s bed.  I certainly wouldn’t mind if you want me to sleep in your bed with you!  I love to burrow under the covers like a typical pittie!  Although I love kids, I can be jumpy so either older kids or dog savy kids would be best with me.  I am completely potty trained and have never had an accident in my foster’s home. I’m estimated to be about a 1.5 years old, and I weigh around 40-42 pounds - the perfect size!  I’m already spayed and up to date on my vaccines.  I’m ready for my forever home if someone is willing to take a chance on me!  My adoption fee is $400 which goes towards my spaying, vaccines, medical care and microchip, not to mention my food!  ##2281162##

Story
Wilma is being fostered in NJ. Hello from Wilma in NJ! Wilma just wants to be with a person and has aspirations of being a lap dog. She enjoys walking, but is not a runner, is attracted to other dogs and ignores the cat and rabbit she lives with, so the house stays peaceful. Wilma rides well in the car regardless of where we are traveling to, and waits patiently in the car during grocery trips. Napping is a favorite pastime. And anytime treats are involved she is definitely interested. Altogether Wilma is a wonderful companion. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

These pups are in Syracuse, New York too!

Story
Wendell came in as a stray picked up in Baldwinsville and weighs about 45 pounds. So far we’ve learned that Wendell loves treats, although he’s still mindful and gentle when taking them, and loves to play tug and hang out with people he’s familiar with. He still needs a little work on manners but is coming around to be a very sweet and respectful boy. DOG-FRIENDLY

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation FREE if picked up in TN, $175 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Mei is the kind of dog who bounces into your day with pure joy and a big smile that makes everything feel lighter. She is a happy-go-lucky sweetheart with a playful spark, the perfect mix of medium-high energy when the toys come out and soft cuddles when she’s ready to settle in. She is a natural comedian. Mei gives full body hugs, showers you with kisses and chases her toys with so much enthusiasm that she sometimes tosses them for herself. At about 2 years old and 45 pounds, she is a charming mystery mix with perky ears, a chocolate and tan coat and a stocky little frame that only adds to her character. She might have a hint of Doberman, maybe some Australian Kelpie and some Pit Bull Terrier. Mei already knows how to sit for a treat and she learns quickly. She is doing well with housetraining when kept on a routine and she trots happily into her crate for a treat, settling after a little whine. She loves to zoom around the yard and will play fetch for as long as you want. If you love watching a dog light up with pure joy, she is your girl. Mei does have food allergies and needs to stay on a hydrolyzed protein prescription diet. When she arrived she had no fur and was miserable, but with proper care she has blossomed into a shiny, happy pup. She will need to stay on her special diet to keep feeling her best. She gets along well with friendly, submissive dogs, seems neutral with cats and enjoys every person she meets. She rides well in the car and would benefit from a fenced yard where she can stretch her legs and enjoy her zoomies. After a tough start in life, Mei is more than ready for the fairy tale ending she deserves. If you think you might be her match, reach out to us for more information.    Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. December 6, 2025, 8:00 pm

Story
Meet Bogart, 7 year old handsome Bulldog mix rescued from a rural Louisiana Shelter.  He was very sick and transferred to Shreveport Vet for treatment of advanced heartworm which is now completed. Bogart is now in foster care in NY.  He loves, loves people and affection.  Bogart would do well with an active family that can provide him with shorter play times more often.  The only thing he loves as much as people is playing and being a big goofy boy.  He is strong and will require continued training to be his best self.  He is laid back and does well with dogs and gentle with kids.  If you would like to have Bogart join your family please fill out an adoption application.  His $200 adoption fee covers medical care up to adoption, neuter, microchip, foster care and transportation from Louisiana to NY. ##2410764##
