Story
I’ve had my son Zeus since he was 5 weeks old. During college my parents took amazing care of him for me . After college I now I work a lot of hours as a nurse and I don’t have the time I use to have to give him full care and love he alway deserved. He’s an amazing ! Dog . He grew up with 4 cats and around children of all ages. He’s the most loving friendly patient pitpull. He’s never bitten a human or any other animal. Never had a dog fight . Health is perfect. He’s never been neutered because I wanted to give him the opportunity to mate which he hasn’t yet. I seriously wish I could keep him but he deserves more than what my job is allowing me to do at this time and I know he will be a blessing to any family. I rather him not go to a shelter because he’s just so amazing and loving and I’d like to know where or who can love and care for him like I always have.

Story
EVERY DOG DESERVES A LOVING HOME!  We want nothing more for Warrior than for him to have his chance at his own home.  This dog is the sweetest soul and has been waiting an eterinity (in dog years) for someone to give him a chance.  Warrior is estimated to be 5 years old.  3 years of his life have been spent in boarding - 1 with a vet and 2 with our special connection in Louisiana.  Before Warrior went into boarding, he was living a life on a chain in horrible conditions. A boarding facility is better than that, but it is still not a HOME.  Warrior is neutered, potty trained and crate trained.  He is dog social, but we are suggesting female dogs due to his past.  He is playful at times, but may prefer to just lay next to you. (While snoring away!). If you are looking for a snuggle buddy, Warrior is your dog!  He loves attention, snuggles and sleeping with you in bed!  He is always smiling and is just the greatest dog!  He just needs someone to see that in him!  We would recommend older children in the home just due to the size and strength of Warrior.  Not only did Warrior survive heart worm disease and treatment, he also had a dental cleaning done!  Please consider giving this boy the life he deserves!  Warrior's adoption fee is $275 which goes towards transportation fees and costs of fostering.  (The second picture of him shows a side by side of what Warrior looked like in his horrible living conditions and what he looks like now.) ##1797383##

Story
Another local dog abandoned!  Beautiful Rosie is a pit bull mix who is believed to be between 1 and 2 years old.  She was abandoned by her owners at a police station in East Syracuse.  Her owners just took off her leash and collar and walked out, without talking to anyone or leaving any information or records.  Rosie deserves better!  The rescue was fortunate to have a willing foster take in Rosie.  However, Rosie deserves to have her own forever home.  She is the sweetest dog!  She has loved everyone she has met, including kids!  True to the pittie breed, she loves to snuggle, and sometimes even thinks she's a lap dog!  Rosie is potty trained and has gone for long periods of time with no accidents.  She is not fond of her crate, so she is left in a small, safe area when her foster has to go to work.  She has never destroyed anything!  Rosie has some excited energy and may jump because she is so happy to see you!  Her foster is working on teaching her not to jump, along with sit, shake and lie down.  She loves to play ball.  She has little spurts of energy and then likes to just snuggle up. Unfortunately, no cats for Rosie.  It would probably be best for Rosie to be an only dog.  Any applicants with their own dog would need to do a meet.   Rosie's adoption fee is $275 which goes towards spaying at our vet, vaccines and medical care up to adoption, microchip and costs associated with fostering.  Who will help this sweet girl live the life she deserves?! ##1998028##

Story
Another dog saved!  Beautiful Nala was surrendered to local animal control when she became sick and the family could not care for her.  She was very sick and was just sitting in the back of the animal control truck waiting for her fate.  Would anyone step up to help give her treatment, or just give up on her?  Well, Seventh Heaven Rescue stepped up to try to save her!  Nala was rushed to Cornell and received treatment and now she is a healthy and happy girl!  Nala is believed to be an American Staffodshire Terrier mix who is estimated to be between 2 and 3 years old.  She currently weighs around 30 pounds, but needs to put on some more weight.  She is doing really well in her foster home while she waits for her forever family to find her.  She is currently living with a couple other dogs and seems to be fine with them.  Right now she will run with them, but doesn't actually play yet.  She is just starting to show some interest in toys.  Every day she is getting more and more comfortable.  Nala is working on crate and potty training.  She is doing well with both.  Nala is a happy, energetic girl, who is just happy to be alive!  She needs continued work to not jump up when excited and with leash walking.  Due to her jumping, it would be best if any children in the home be older.  Nala is being fostered in Central NY so a meet can be arranged.  Let's find this deserving girl a forever home!!  Nala's adoption fee is $300 which goes towards spaying at our vet, vaccines and medical care up to adoption, microchip and her treatment at Cornell. ##2060724##

Story
Scooby is an adorable Boxer mix who was found running in the Town of Lafayette. He is a CRAZY young man with LOTS of energy to burn! But he is very funny and would provide a lot of entertainment for his new family. He would be great in a home with children 8 and older (so he doesn't knock them over)

Story
Sweet, handsome Charles came into our care as a stray from the Town of Salina. This little boy loves to play with toys and walks very nicely on a leash! He is such a happy fella just watch out for that tail, its a whip! We think he would do best in a home with kids aged 8 and up.

Story
Mister Zeus is a sweet big boy that unfortunately doesn't know his size and has little to no manners! He is absolutely going to need some training as he is a bit nibbly when he gets excited, not in an aggressive way, just a puppy way! We think he would do best in a home with older children around 13+ until he learns some manners.
