Story
Meet 5 YO 42 lb Brodie! Brodie was adopted out of Lancaster Animal Shelter in 2019 and recently came back there with some small treatable medical issues which have been taken care of. Brodie is a little nervous but easily won over. Brodie wasn't interested in toys in the kennel but wanted to meet all of his neighbors. "He is a very sweet boy, but not used to being given attention. Brodie is now with one of our fosters and is doing well. In notes about him the word we see consistently is FRIENDLY. Please help Brodie find his furever home!

Story
Capone has been to the vet and he is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on prevention. Capone was never socialized with the world around him or any other dogs but Dolly. He didn't show aggression when he met a stranger dog, just fear. He cannot live with small animals. Capone met Sprinkles yesterday!!! We have taken decompression very slowly with Capone because he had so much loss and change so quickly. Yesterday Capone got to meet one of the resident hound girls and they did perfect! This amazing boy deserves a family of his own, even a foster home (he is in a temporary foster home)! Capone is a chill dog whose favorite thing is human lovin, peanut butter kongs & the hot pink Kong wooba! If interested in meeting this awesome boy please apply at chasintailrescuenc.com

Story
Allow me to reintroduce myself! My name is Shelby, SHEL to the BY! ?? Hi there, I’m Shelby—the tennis ball queen, certified cuddlebug, and your future best friend! I’m packed with personality, full of kisses, and always ready for some fun. My favorite game in the entire world is fetch, and I’ll bounce after my tennis ball again and again until I’m ready to plop down beside you for a well deserved nap. Don’t worry, it doesn’t take me long to wear myself out!I’ve got a goofy, joyful spirit and a whole lot of love to give. I greet everyone with happy wiggles and have never met a person I didn’t want to smother with kisses. I do have a little secret though... sometimes I get mouthy when I want attention. I’m not trying to be naughty, I just get excited and don’t always know the best way to say “please notice me!” With a little patience and guidance, I’ll learn better ways to ask for love without being a rascal.Once I’ve had my playtime and zoomies, I settle right down and am more than happy to curl up for snuggles. I really do have a sweet and cuddly side. I just need a home that understands I’m still figuring things out.And yes, I do have the best name in the world just ask our Director who also happens to be named Shelby. For the record, I came to HSEC already named. No one is naming dogs after themselves… probably. But hey, with a name this awesome, why would anyone want to change it? If you`re looking for a fun loving affectionate pup who brings both the party and the snuggles, I’m your girl. Come meet me and let me fetch my way right into your heart!XOXOShelby

Meet Bonnie – Your Loyal, Loving Playmate! Age: 3 years oldSpayed & Up-to-Date on VaccinesHouse & Crate Trained | Working on Leash SkillsDog-Friendly (with slow introductions)Knows: Sit, Down, Sit & Stay (working on it), Outside, and Her Name Bonnie is a beautiful, high-energy 3-year-old pup with a heart full of love and a playful spirit that lights up every room. She's incredibly loyal, thrives on attention and interaction, and is happiest when she's included in the action. Bonnie is a total toy lover—she’ll never say no to a game of fetch with a ball, a squeaky toy, or a good bone to chew on. One of her favorite activities is running around the yard on a long lead, followed by a cozy nap in her crate. She eats, and relaxes in her crate during the day, often choosing it as her hangout spot with the door open. She will sleep in her crate at night with the door closed.  She's house-trained, crate-trained, and currently working on her leash manners. Bonnie already knows several commands including sit, down, sit and stay (working on it), outside, and she responds well to her name. She's a smart girl who enjoys learning and thrives with positive reinforcement. Bonnie plays well with the two dogs in her foster home after slow introductions. She hasn’t been tested with cats or children, so careful, gradual introductions would be best if either is present in her future home. Bonnie’s Ideal Home:Bonnie would do best in an active, dog-savvy home with strong, confident individuals who can provide continued training and structure. She’s still working on socialization, but she's making great progress and needs a family willing to be patient and consistent. A fenced yard or access to safe outdoor space would be a huge plus, as would a compatible canine playmate. If you're ready for a loving, energetic companion who’s eager to please and full of potential, Bonnie is ready to be your new best friend   A Few of Her Favorite Things:   - Wrestling and playing tug with her doggy pals - Begging for treats and snuggles from anyone who will give them - Going on adventures to the beach and playing in the waves - Being a total goofball and making everyone laugh   A Little Shy at First, But...   Bonnie can be a bit vocal when meeting new people or dogs, but don't worry - she warms up quickly and becomes a total sweetheart. Her foster dad says she's the perfect house guest, and we know you'll fall in love with her charming personality.   Ready to Join Your Family!   Bonnie is crate trained, house trained, and ready for her forever home. Whether you're looking for a playful companion or a snuggle buddy, Bonnie is the perfect pup for you. She was rescued from a rural shelter at the last minute, and now she's ready to bring love and joy into your life.   Are you ready to add some sunshine and laughter to your family? Adopt Bonnie today! ##2267051##
