Story
This sweet lady is Miss Pecan! Pecan is a walking ray of sunshine with a big ol' smile on her face! She came to us as a stray and was never reclaimed by her previous family.Pecan is a higher energy girl that loves to play hard and love even harder. She does great in the fenced yard out back and seems to have a decent recall. She keeps a clean kennel through the day and is interested in making doggie friends. She did well during her cat-test but will still need slower introductions to the other furry household members.Pecan is as sweet as pie! Meet her and find out for yourself why we love this girl so much!**Spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 67lbs**

Story
Meet our Staffy Boys. These boys were born outside and continued living that way until rescue stepped in. They now sleep in a cozy warm house. They have been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. They are eating puppy food really well and enjoy puppy romper room games. They will need a home where someone is home to do house training. They will also need a home with a fenced in yard. They do well with other dogs and don't mind cats. They need a home with no kids or older children due to their size and still learning their manners.  Adoption fee is $413 ##1370033##

Story
ROSES ARE RED, THIS BOY IS BLUE. HE NEEDS A FAMILY, COULD IT BE YOU? I'm Blue and I am Blue in more ways than one. Blue is my name and rightfully so because I have this beautiful blue coat. When I first arrived here I lost a lot of my blue coat because I was stressed and lonely. But you see, I am also Blue because I am homeless and have lost my hope that there is someone for me. Sure, I am loved and cared for on a daily basis here but nothing compares to a home with a person that loves you and fawns over you daily. I am fortunate to be here because I will be able to stay safe and healthy until someone finds me and sees my true Blue potential. But in the meantime it will continue to make me Blue. Story
This gorgeous Rottweiler/Mastiff mix is Sharon. This girl showed up at the shelter with a broken leg and pregnant. She is healed and all her pups are adopted out to loving homes. It is finally her turn to shine and be adopted. She is 1.5 years old and very sweet. Sharon has a very strong prey drive so she is not a good fit with cats. She also shows aggression towards other dogs so this pup will be better in a home with no other pets. She would need to be on a leash outside or have a fenced in yard as she is curious and will run off. She is fantastic with humans and has been in a foster home. She has had house training and is doing great. Her adoption fee is $150.If you are interested in adopting this pet please visit www.blackfordcountyanimalshelter.com to complete our online adoption application.

Story
My name is Izzy and I am one gorgeous pup. I have a lot of energy and would love to have a fenced in yard to exercise in. I can jump a short fence so a 6 foot fence would be ideal. Long walks on a leash is also a great way for me to exercise if a fence is not an option. I am good with kids and all people but I can be a bit aggressive towards other pets so I would do best in a home with no other animals. I would not be a good fit for someone who wants a social pet with other dogs. I am crate trained and house trained and I do pretty well on a leash with a halter. I am active and goofy girl and deep down I just want to have fun. I am around 1.5 years old and 41 lbs.If you are interested in adopting this pet please visit www.blackfordcountyanimalshelter.com to complete our online adoption application.
