Story
Meet Robin! Robin is about 2 years old and 47 pounds and is an absolute joy to be around. Robin is probably a mix of Staffordshire terrier or American Pit Bull terrier, and maybe even some Carolina dog. He is definitely a perfect super mutt! Robin is potty and crate trained, and does well on a leash. Robin does well with other dogs and humans of all ages. His. Robin came to us with a severe leg injury. After several months of medical care, his front leg is deformed but is fully healed. Robin will need a cat free home. Robin had bloodwork at his vet visit. Interested in becoming a forever home for Robin? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Robin. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Robin the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
URGENT I AM READY FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or TRANSFER! Hello, my name is Nova, it been a crazy 2024 for me, you see I was raising my puppies on the streets in SW Oklahoma City in the winter, and then I ended up in a trap trying to get food to survive. The humans had my puppies too, I was so scared when we arrived at our new location I was trapped in a room with my puppies and no longer able to escape, so I started defending them from these unknown humans that trapped me. After about a week my babies were moved away from me as they were over 6 weeks and I was in momma defense mode. I ended up back into a cage and off to a trainer’s home. That is where I started the first chapter to my new life. I spent a week terrified to interact with my trainer, mostly shut down, but willing to defend myself. You see after an unknown amount of time on the streets had left me in survivor mode, very flighty and my mommy hormones where all over the place. After some time to decompress the trainer pushed me to accept a leash, and in no time at all I remembered what it was like when I was a pet before. I got to lay on soft beds inside a home, chew up dog toys, and my favorite is to play fetch with a ball. I will sneak on the couch if you’re not looking, and despite street life I don’t like going outside in the cold or wet. I enjoy a car ride but do best with a seatbelt restraint. I share the trainer’s home with serval other dogs and cats. I will need a little time and patients to adjust to a new place and people, but I am bought off by a nice snacks. Soon as I know you are a safe human; we will be besties. (Nova warms up to new people quickly within minutes in an environment she is comfortable in, she is more cautious in new places, with new people and takes her time to greet)   Adoption fee is $75, this dog is about 2-3 yrs old and in the 50 lb range, Nova is spayed and current on vaccines and Heartworm negative.   House Manners: I have been trained with a doggie door into a yard that is a 5ft chain-link fence and I have not had accidents indoors once given a bit of time to acclimate. Basic Training: I know sit, down, wait, kennel, outside, leave it, and can loose leash walk. I am kennel trained to relax calmly in my crate (36 to 42 inch), soft blankly or bed please. I will need help learning boundaries in a new place. Other Dogs: I have been around several other dogs and am doing great. It is best for me to have a male dog for a housemate but I do fine meeting girl dogs just wouldn’t want to live with one. I enjoy playing and wrestling with a young husky I am currently staying with. Cats: I have been around 3 indoor cats, I am often on the other side of a 34-inch pet gate I respect but have hung out with them also, even had to leave it while the kitten stole my treat &#226&#152&#185. The cats where introduced to me slowly and not directly for a couple weeks. I do show a bit of prey drive with excitement of the horses or chickens outdoors. Kids: No known experience around kids but no signs to have concerns, she has not shown any resource guarding. Fencing: Has remained in a 5ft chain-link with other dogs and access indoors through doggie door. This Dog is a courtesy listing for its current caretaker. The dog is not in our care at the rescue or a part of our rescue, but we have been advised it needs a home and we have assisted in the pet being fixed and started on vaccines. Please understand the process may be a little different since the pet is not housed with our agency. The first step is to submit the adoption application and we will be in touch. This dog has had its Rabies Vaccination and is spayed or neutered. Other vetting may or may not be complete but we require the rabies vaccines (over 4 months old) and to be fixed to post the animal. Any additional medical needed would be at your expense through your vet. We encourage you to take any of our courtesy listed dogs to your vet to be checked for heartworms and other internal parasites and get any missing vaccines they may need. Some courtesy listed dogs may have all this done already and the caretakers will give you records at the time of adoption.  Important PLEASE read if interested in adoption: Please submit an Pre-Adoption Application by clicking this link(The application does not obligate you to an adoption): https://form.jotform.com/truefriendsok/true-friends-animal-rescue-adoption to show your interest in adoption (Only submit one app for any pets listed on our pet listings). This questionnaire simply helps inform us if the dog you are interested in might match your families dynamics based on what we have learned about that dog. If you would like to meet this pet please complete the pre-adopt application and we will schedule a meeting after simple review and be in touch soon.    July 22, 2024, 1:01 pm

Story
Hello, I'm Indie, and I'm on a mission to share love through kisses and savor belly rubs! My energy is boundless, and playtime is my absolute favorite. Fun fact: I'm a pool enthusiast! I dream of having my very own little pool to splash around in. Because I'm still young and playful, I'd thrive in a home with older children. And, just so you know, a wooden fence is a must since I'm a bit of a fence leaper. I'm a pro at crate training and have mastered the art of using the potty. But most importantly, I'm a bundle of softness craving your attention. Ready to make a furry friend for life?

Story
Hi my name is Bruiser and I am three years old. My prefect day is spent cuddled up in your lap sleeping. I think I am little and will try to squeeze into any small space just to be near you but I weigh about 50 to 60 pounds. I get a long well with other dogs and kids. I absolutely do NOT like cats and cannot live with them. I share my toys nicely with my German Shepherd sister and love to play. I go potty outside and know basic commands. I am an escape artist if left to my own devices outside and prefer for you to sit outside with me. I love car rides and walks. My mom is very sad to be rehoming me but unfortunately she has no choice but to move into a home with cats. My mom wants me to go to someone who will love me just as much as she does and give me as many belly scratches as she does. I will come with my toys, jackets, and food dish.

Story
Meet Mutt - your future furry best friend! This one-year-old bundle of joy is the perfect addition to any loving home. Weighing in at around 35 lbs, Mutt is the ideal size for cuddles and playtime. Mutt is a well-behaved, house, and kennel-trained pup who's been doing a great job with leash training. He's looking for a forever home with someone who can continue to reinforce his good behavior and continue his leash training journey. This medium-energy marvel is a social butterfly and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. He's a true "pawsome" playmate and would adore having a doggy friend to frolic with. Mutt is no stranger to the dog park, where he thrives while playing with his buddies. However, Mutt's love for feline friends is not as strong, so he's seeking a cat-free home. While he hasn't lived with kids before, he should do just fine in a home with respectful children who understand how to interact with dogs. Mutt is a ton of fun and adores playtime. He's always ready to drag out his toys and engage in a spirited game of tug of war with his furry pals. Don't miss out on the opportunity to give Mutt the loving home he deserves. He's the perfect companion for an active, dog-loving household. Ready to make memories and share adventures with Mutt? Come meet him today and let the good times roll! He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, heartworm negative, and microchipped. You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@yahoo.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.com/adoption-application!

Tucker is a fun loving, happy pup!  He’s shy at first but warms up quickly and then he is full of adventure and life!  He has a smile that is contagious. He is crate trained and house broken. He does well on a leash and knows basic commands. He does well riding in the car. Tucker likes being around children, and he is gentle. He is trained to not jump up. He loves other dogs and will play, chase, and wrestle for hours!  He likes to chase cats, but cats don’t seem to like that very much.  Chickens and ducks are just snacks to him, so maybe a home without chickens or a really secure chicken coop would be best. He’s incredibly sweet, loves belly rubs, back scratches, snuggles, and (of course) TREATS!  He’s a good boy who is hoping to find his new best friend. ##1590437##
