Story
Meet Mutt - your future furry best friend! This one-year-old bundle of joy is the perfect addition to any loving home. Weighing in at around 35 lbs, Mutt is the ideal size for cuddles and playtime. Mutt is a well-behaved, house, and kennel-trained pup who's been doing a great job with leash training. He's looking for a forever home with someone who can continue to reinforce his good behavior and continue his leash training journey. This medium-energy marvel is a social butterfly and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. He's a true "pawsome" playmate and would adore having a doggy friend to frolic with. Mutt is no stranger to the dog park, where he thrives while playing with his buddies. However, Mutt's love for feline friends is not as strong, so he's seeking a cat-free home. While he hasn't lived with kids before, he should do just fine in a home with respectful children who understand how to interact with dogs. Mutt is a ton of fun and adores playtime. He's always ready to drag out his toys and engage in a spirited game of tug of war with his furry pals. Don't miss out on the opportunity to give Mutt the loving home he deserves. He's the perfect companion for an active, dog-loving household. Ready to make memories and share adventures with Mutt? Come meet him today and let the good times roll! He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, heartworm negative, and microchipped. You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@yahoo.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.com/adoption-application!

Story
Tucker is a fun loving, happy pup!  He’s shy at first but warms up quickly and then he is full of adventure and life!  He has a smile that is contagious. He is crate trained and house broken. He does well on a leash and knows basic commands. He does well riding in the car. Tucker likes being around children, and he is gentle. He is trained to not jump up. He loves other dogs and will play, chase, and wrestle for hours!  He likes to chase cats, but cats don’t seem to like that very much.  Chickens and ducks are just snacks to him, so maybe a home without chickens or a really secure chicken coop would be best. He’s incredibly sweet, loves belly rubs, back scratches, snuggles, and (of course) TREATS!  He’s a good boy who is hoping to find his new best friend. ##1590437##

Story
Scooby is about a year and 1/2 old Great Dane/Boxer mix. He is about 60 -70. pounds. Scooby is so sweet and it was hard for his foster mom to get great pics because Scooby loves to be super close to her. As she would take a step back to get his face in the frame of the picture, then he just scooted forward. He is a big sweetheart. He is very energetic and LOVES to chase balls and squeak toys. Scooby is crate trained and potty trained. Scooby's time was up at a local shelter and he knows his foster mom said yes to him right on time. He showers her with lots of love. No kitties for Scooby. He thinks those are just funny looking squirrels. If you are interested in Scooby, please email adoptions@petsandpeople.com and our adoption volunteer will share our questionnaire. Once approved, we will set an appointment for you to meet and adopt Scooby. Please share Scooby. He would do well in an active family and he gets along well with other dogs. Please email us directly for a faster response and we will send you our questionnaire. adoptions@petsandpeople.com We get many each day so please watch your spam/trash folders for our replies. Adoption fee for all dogs over 4 months is $200.00 each, which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations (including all puppy boosters for puppies under 4 months), worming, flea/tick treatment if needed, microchip and collar/leash/tags.

Max has been raised around other dogs, cats, and kids. Best of all, Max is potty trained! He also knows basic commands and is crate trained, though he'd prefer to cuddle in bed with his people! If you’re looking for a young companion without all the work of puppy training, Max would love to meet you! ##1871458##

Story
Alice came to Oklahome in October 2023 when we were contacted about a litter of puppies left in a wire crate on a porch in the rain.  She was adopted into a loving home, but returned when her new owner suffered a terrible injury that prevents her for caring for Alice. Her prior owner put so much love and work into training Alice and now we are hoping to find her a forever family to continue loving her!  Alice has the softest velvet ears and the best head tilts! She always looks at you when you talk like she understands what you’re saying! Alice loves to play fetch, run in the yard, and has recently discovered a love for flirt poles! Alice loves to play in water when outside! Sprinkler or kiddie pool, she’s in! She gets hilarious zoomies when it’s time to play but when she’s tired, she loves to snuggle up with her family, and if she beats you to bed, she might steal your pillow! Alice is a very treat motivated and a smart girl! She has learned her basic commands, is crate trained, and will ring a bell to go let you know she needs to outside to potty. She has done very well with kids, but has not been tested around cats. ##1871457##

Story
Meet Bruiser, a big love bug! He is looking for a loving home. He doesn’t know how to snuggle, but he loves to rub his head against yours, it’s how he shows love! He was dealt a bad hand in life, but it hasn’t slowed him down a bit! He loves to be with his people, laying around, or sunbathing outside. He’s crate trained and potty trained and goes to his crate so willingly! He sleeps in his crate and doesn’t make a peep! He is very good with kids! He does have a tendency to be snappy and lunge at new dogs in public places because of his past, but he’s never had ANY issues with dogs he knows. He would have to be introduced slowly to new dogs. Bruiser would make a great addition to your family. Won't you give him a new start in life full of love and snuggles.

Meet Pumpkin! He is a 3 yr old neutered 65 lb Boxer/Pit Bull mix. He is house and crate trained, uses a doggy door, microchipped, and up-to-date on all shots. He loves everyone but does get excited when meeting new people. He is a very strong boy so he will need supervision around young children or seniors as he can knock you over. Once he knows you he calms down and is very gentle. He likes to cuddle and give sloppy kisses. He loves to play with toys. He does well with other dogs but needs a slow introduction. However, Pumpkin would be just fine by himself getting all the love and attention. No cats! Pumpkin is very smart. He can be an escape artist so a tall fence is needed. He loves to explore the backyard.

Story
I am a beauty, possibly part Greyhound.  I need to be in an adult home with no kids.  I just had to leave my current home after 3 years because they had a baby?? I don't really like it(the new baby) or understand what it is, and I can't play with it and it takes their attention away from me!  I don’t like noisy, loud, jerky little people, I’ve discovered.  If you are ready for a loving, but shy, forever friend who is a couch potato inside and can run like a race horse outside, I’m your guy!  September 13, 2024, 11:55 am

Story
Meet Daisey! This sweet girl has been through so much in her short life. We think she is young, maybe 1-3 years old, and only 35 pounds. She probably has some Staffordshire terrier and lab as well as super mutt mixed in her. Daisey is a kind and gentle soul. She will allow love and pets, is not fazed by other animals, is gentle with children and has come a long way with leash manners. Sadly, it seems she may not have had the best past with human interaction. She sticks true to the den animal instincts that many dogs can be known for. She prefers her own quiet space so that she can curl up comfortably and feel safe and relaxed. She is not one for running with the other dogs or playing catch with a child, but she definitely does not mind having either around. Daisey is looking for a family that understands she will need lots of time to acclimate to a new environment before she starts to come out of her shell. Daisey came from a local shelter just days after she had a litter of 12 puppies! She was young, terrified and seemingly a first-time mom. She and her puppies were in very poor health. After medicine, time and love they were all nursed back to health. Now that she has had time to learn what kindness from a human looks like, and all of her puppies have been adopted, Daisey is ready for her forever. Interested in becoming a forever home for Daisey? Story
Sally is a beautiful, black and white pit bull mix approximately 14 months old. She is currently being fostered on a small farm in Glencoe, Oklahoma. Though she does okay leashed around the farm life Sally would be better suited in a home without a variety of other critters. Sally walks well on the leash and loves to go on walks and explore. Most of all she loves to be with her humans to play and cuddle. Sally loves her foster mom and is slowly warming up to her foster dad. A slow introduction to other people and dogs will be best for Sally as she was very shy and scared when arriving at her new home from the shelter. Sally has a best doggie friend here that she plays with named Foxy. Sally likes most dogs but can be selective. She has not been cat tested. Sally loves toys and treats. She especially loves her Kong toys and Nylabones and of course, anything with stuffing she can have fun trying to get out! Sally has not had much opportunity to learn house manners but she has done well under supervision. Her fosters spend as much time as they can on potty training. She is crate trained for sleeping during the night. She will cry in the crate when she has to go potty. Sally is full of love and is very eager to learn. Her eyes and face tell a story of sadness in her past but she is loved now and looking for her forever family that will love and train her to be her best!
