PLEASE READ BRUNO’S BIO IN DETAIL TO ENSURE THAT HE WILL BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU AND YOUR LIFESTYLE BEORE APPLYING. PEASE NOTE: BRUNO IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE OTTAWA AREA We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: BRUNO Age: 5 years Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Male Weight: approx 45 lbs Location: Ottawa area Adoption fee: $600.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Work in progress House trained: Yes Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes - dogs, cats and children of all ages Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: None Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) Introducing Bruno... For all you Encanto fans....today we get to talk about Bruno...  Bruno is a medium-sized boy with life's scars on his body and face, true to dog form he still LOVES people and meeting anyone new.    Bruno does have energy and loves a good playtime ( you get excited .. he celebrates with you! ) but not all the time, he loves a good snuggle and has fallen in love with his cuddle time with all the teenagers that have come to hang out at his foster home and has learned quite quickly who to go to if one is too busy for him.  Bruno is an excellent traveler and just simply enjoys being in the same space as his people. He is good with cats but can take some issue with dogs when they try to get into his food bowl or after his toys. He doesn't mind other dogs but isn't really the playful type he prefers humans 100%.  Bruno knows some basic commands, and his leash skills are improving every outing.  The prefect home for him would be with a family or just a person that could give him the attention he loves oh so much, he could be your adventure sidekick or your couch loving Netflix watching buddy!!! He is good in a crate and goes in no problem, especially when he knows it's dinner time!! His ideal home would have a securely fenced in yard where he could run and play, a family or owner who would love to take him on adventures and a family with or without a dog would be fine, cats are fine and respectful children of any age would make him very happy. Bruno does crave leadership, so teaching him boundaries is just as important to him as his happy dance celebrations. He is a sweet and affectionate, medium energy, people loving  charmer and anyone would be blessed to have him as part of there lives! If you feel you would be the right fit for Bruno, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety. NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed. BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!

Story
Aura Willis is a 2 ½ year old mixed breed. She is 3/4 American Staffordshire Terrier and 1/4 Doberman Pinscher. She is an energetic, eager-to-please, fiercely loyal dog. She is always alert and will keep you protected. She can be vocal at times with loud noises near her home or strangers, but once she trusts you, she's so sweet. She’s house trained and crate trained. She’s sassy when she’s ready, then again which girl isn’t. She’ll give you a high five, speak (bark) when asked, and knows her left paw from her right paw, that’s just a few tricks. Aura is a great pooch, and we're sad to let her go. She has a good sense of peoples’ auras’ so, it’s very important to us that she is adopted into a healthy and loving family. She needs a family that truly is ready to own a dog. She won’t just be your pet, she’ll become your family.

Story
Nipsey Willis is a 4-year-old mixed breed. He is 3/4 American Staffordshire Terrier and 1/4 Doberman Pinscher. He is a lovable, family-friendly, affectionate pup. We say pup because he is such a big baby. He enjoys company and I’m sure you will enjoy his too. He’ll stand by your side no matter what. Nip is very smart, so playful, and will truly become your best friend. He is so smart; he knows two languages. Tell him to sit in English or siéntate in Spanish, guarantee he’ll understand. Nip is a good boy; super obedient. Nipsey is such a great pooch, and we’re sad to let him go. He loves to love we’d always say, so it’s important he finds a home that is full of nothing but love and will give him all the hugs and kisses because he deserves it. Medical Issues or Concerns: Currently has an internal unknown mass that needs medical attention. We are trying to find a vet ASAP with reasonable pricing to get it removed. Otherwise, he is an overall healthy dog.

Story
Tessa and her 2 tiny babies were rescued from BARC in Houston on April 29, 2024, moments before they were going to be killed. They had a loving home, but their owner was taken to the hospital and his relatives dumped his dogs at the shelter. There was another dog, too, thought to be Tessa's mom, but she was killed. We can't save them all, as much as we wish we could! At least we were able to save Tessa and her babies. The photos of Tessa in her concrete cell, her head down body curled protectively around her puppies, might make you think she's guarding them from letting anyone get too close. Her facial expression doesn't exactly look warm and welcoming -- but the truth is, this mama is as sweet and affectionate with people, even people she's just met, as she is with her own babies. She's all sugar, and no spice! She had absolutely ZERO concern about having her puppies picked up and carried around by strangers, she just wanted to get a butt scratch too. We haven't known her for too long, but so far everything we've seen has been absolutely lovely. She's an amazing mama, but she's also super friendly, quiet in the house, playful with other dogs, curious to investigate new surroundings, and quick to learn. She was pretty interested in the resident cat at her foster home, but was easily redirected and seems to understand now that the cat is off-limits. She's already learning the house rules from her foster-dog siblings and loves being to,d what a good girl she is.Tessa is going to LOVE being part of a family, and we're confident she's going to be an easy, fun and precious addition to any household, whether it's with a single retiree or a busy, bustling family. We're not sure yet if she would prefer having doggie playmates or being the center of attention -- she'd probably be very happy with either, as long as she's not left alone for long periods (she hasn't shown that she has separation anxiety, we just know she's not going to like being by herself as most dogs don't). She seems to be somewhat dominant, so she won't be placed with another dominant female. She's currently in a wonderful foster home in Arkansas, and is available to join a loving household nearly anywhere in the continental US or Ontario. Story
Clyde is an absolutely fabulous little puppy who was rescued from BARC in Houston at the end of April, 2024, when he was only 2 weeks old. He and his sister Bonnie were the only 2 litter mates found with their mama, Tessa, who is a boxer mix and an absolute gem. All 3 are in a loving foster home in Arkansas, living with several other dogs and a cat. They spend their time rolling around together playing in the grass or on the carpet or on the couch or wherever they happen to be at any given moment, unless they're passed out cold from playing so much. They're getting loads of socialization and have zero fear people or other animals. They're a delightful young family of sweet, healthy, happy little doggies.Tessa is about 50 pounds. We have zero clue what kind of dog the puppies' dad was, but they seem to be growing up to be pretty big.
