With a little patience and continued training, Gordon will make an amazing partner for someone who wants an engaged, eager-to-please dog. He’s highly food- and toy-motivated (especially when it comes to treats and a good game of tug!) and is already doing fantastic with obedience and impulse control. Gordon knows his basic commands—sit, lie down, stay, and wait—and he loves showing off his skills. He’s also great on a leash, making walks and outings enjoyable and easy. Beyond his smarts, Gordon is wonderfully friendly and affectionate. He loves people, never meets a stranger, and gets along well with dogs of all sizes. Whether he’s training, playing, or snuggling, Gordon is happiest when he’s part of the action. Gordon will do best in a home with a physically fenced yard where he can safely play, explore, and burn off his energy. Bessie is 2 yrs old and is a mix of 9 breeds listed on the second photo. Mostly American Staffordshire and German Shepherd. She is very smart, friendly, and sensitive. She is sneaky and likes to steal from countertops when nobody is home, she is sensitive to loud noises, and she gets scared when she is in a car and wont move. She has a zero bite record and is not aggressive at all, but she is a protector, and will put herself in front of you if she senses danger. Bessie is sensitive and possibly abused as a puppy, and it's VERY IMPORTANT that she is handled gently and with love. She loves playing with other dogs, she is like a mother to puppies and will become their best friend, and she is very good with children and doesnt pay any attention to cats. Bessie is used to an invisible fence but is smart enough to know that when the collar is off there are no boundaries, though she isnt a wanderer. She sleeps all night and is fully housetrained.

Didn't trust the people who were trying to help her because people are who hurt her and neglected her ;( Smarty's foster mom and savior says, "It's hard to post and talk about her without tearing up because I'm just in such awww of how far she has come. A whole village stepped up to get her here and I want to thank them all." She found her HERO and now is ready for the family who will love her for WHO SHE IS FOREVER!! She will require long term allergy meds and a prescription diet plus a special adopter who is willing to work with a RESCUED dog. Patience is a must for a dog who we don't know where she came from and don't know what she went through. Good with other dogs Playful but can be rough so best no small children Good with cats but allergic to cat dander 🫤 Puppy pad trained Loves her kennel Loves to snuggle LOVES YOU!!! Adopt her soon!!!
